Backhoe backhoe for ck20hst

I am looking into the backhoes for my ck20hst, what are the options? I know kioti makes one, I think woods makes one, any other out there worth mentioning. I will be using to dig some trenches and remove small stumps and roots etc.... Just looking for pros and cons.
Also anyone in Northeast Connecticut with one, that would not mind showing me thier set up?

I have a bushhog backhoe made by ameriequip it has done a good job for me but when I replace it i will look at woods and wallenatein as their specs are a little better. I use my in a small contracting business and I could use a little more ommph at times.

I'd say the two most commonly used models on the CK20 are the Kioti 2465 and the Woods BH70x these days. Both are really fine attachments. I'd choose according to the best deal.

I had the earlier KB2365 on my CK20 and I had no complaints but I know the 2465 is much improved in ergonomics and valves. I have a Woods BH90x on my DK40se which is also an excellent piece of equipment.

I have the Woods sub frame mounted BH6000; Reg has the newer model Kioti. Although the Kioti has less clearance, apparently he hasn't had an issue with it.

Looking at both side by side, I would have preferred the Kioti as it seems to be a little more substantial than my Woods. However, I haven't found a stump I couldn't take out with it, and I took out 40-50 averaging 10"-12" so far.

I have the kb2465, and love it, great power. Although, the way that they make them it hangs quite a ways off the back, If going up a steep hill the front picks up, same design as the other brands though. so there is no getting away from it. I am in south eastern ct.

Don't even think about a 3PT mount. The subframes are definitely the way to go. Pros are that you don't destroy your tractor while using the backhoe. Cons...a few extra bucks.

3PT mounts used to be common but I don't think any of the tractor manufacturers recommends or even allows their use under tractor warranty anymore.

Call the Kioti dealer in Lake Ariel PA to see what he charges. He carries both Kioti and Woods. You could also send him a PM here on TBN: Wallace is his screen name.

Three years ago, my kb2375 was $5500. Try Islands advice before you buy. He's a great person to work with and only a five hour drive away and he does deliver if needed. You could have the bh in the crate easily put on a 5x8 trailer and install yourself. Mine wasn't hard at all.

Pretty sure you cannot use a midmount mower with the subframe installed. Kioti's are not the tractor for you if you really want a midmount mower as I don't believe they are available anymore (and were absurdly expensive when they were).

I have the KB2465 and so far it has been a great machine, I would recomend it.

Last year on Wallace's recommendation I bought a Woods X70 with the factory thumb, very powerful machine. I am building a rock retaining wall and moved rocks with this thing that my loader struggled to lift. I have a CK20HST by the way. I also had a set of rear remotes installed much easier and more useful than doing a loop which is the normal method. Not sure about the Kioti but with the Woods the subframe stays on the tractor when the hoe is removed. If you are nice and level it only takes a few minutes to remove or install.

Is the mid mount mower a rear or side discharge?
Woods you can on the rear discharge Kioti you can not at all.

I just got off the phone with the owner and he still has the tractor. It is a mid mount 60" rear discharge mower. He said he wasn't very happy with the way it cut though. The tractor is a 2003 model. Wallace, have you had any issues with these mowers?

Yes.
I never had an issue with the cut we just had issues with belts until they got them figured out.
You would have to give me one of those mowers.
The mowers were made by Mid West which has been out of business for I think2-3 years now. The owner died.
Parts are becoming very hard to come by.

The tractor is a 2003 model.

I believe the 2003 was the first year for the CK20. It will not have a suspension seat (cost about $500-600) as that became standard a couple years later. There may be some other minor differences with 2004-2006 but I think it was 2007 when Kioti upgraded the engine a bit and now calls it the CK20S.
