We got 4 inches of snow so i figured it was time to push the snow around a little. After I finished out at the farm clearing snow I drove it into town to do a few driways and i have to say the rear blade worked great and cut through the packed down snow well I just angled the blade a bit and backed up the driveway and pulled it to the end then used the bucket to dump it into a pile.

Snapped a couple pictures before pulling it into the garage.

I was moving that same snow with my front mount JD blower - worked great as well!

Looking good Raptor. I was surprised at how well the rear blade does at moving snow. This is the second winter I've had my 2520, and I also have a front blade and blower for it, but so far, haven't had either one on the machine. Then again, we didn't have any snowfalls last winter deeper than about 4 or 5 inches. When we get a foot or so, I'll probably stick the blade or blower on and see how they work.

I did find that gauge wheels helped keep the rear blade from digging into my gravel drive (looks like your's is paved).

I've read on here the pulling the blade with the convex side facing forward also helps keep it from digging in, but haven't had a chance to try that out yet.

Thanks for the pics.

The driveway in the pictures is paved but the farm site is still a long gravel driveway.
I have the blade angled to dig in right now because I was using it for grading the driveway this fall and for the paved driveways it works great really digs down but I need to change the angle a bit for dirt because it really digs in too much.

The wheels you installed look like they work great i might have to rig something like that up.

I'm going to try to pick up a 3pt blower next winter but for this one it's the FEL and blade for me.

That tractor is just too clean, when the snow melts you need to get it out in the dirt.

Clean? it's really dirty. I've been meaning to wash it and wax it down on the car wash in the small town I live by.
in the summer it gets a weekly washing when I grease it.
I figure it was as expensive as a nice car so I might as well keep it clean and shiny.

I got a chance to use my plow already this year. It was so good to be back using a frame mounted plow after the using a loader mounted fo about a year - definitely easier for me!
