Anybody hear what the specs on the new L45TLB will be? Curious on the lift capabilities of the loader.

FYI

Did find some info on it, so I thought I'd pass it on. It seems that it is based on the L39 frame. What I did find out is:

4 Cylinder 45HP
Weight with loader and backhoe is approx 7200lbs
Loader lift capacity to max height height at pivot is 2848 Lbs
Loader breakout force at pivot is 4530 Lbs
Max lift height at pivot pin 113.9"
BackHoe is 121.0" max dig depth

The backhoe will be availible with a Hyd thumb.

I spoke with my dealer yesterday and he saw and drove it at the dealers show. He said it's basically an L39 with a four cylinder engine and HST Plus. He said the tires looked smaller, but after looking at both spec sheets he conceded the tires on both are the same size.

He said the only thing, as a rental yard owner, he did not like was that Kubota put a hand parking brake on it like the M59. He has problems with customers leaving parking brakes on and burning up the brakes.

Now I'm a bit disapointed, as I had hoped Kubota was going to put a turbo on the L39's 3 cylinder. I like the low end grunt a turbo makes and how it cleans up the exhaust smoke. I also like the way the L39's 3 cylinder sounds. But I guess we can't have everything. At least Kubota did not drop the model.

A L39 frame is too small for what they are trying to replace.....the L48.....wish they did something different. L39 frame & tires are too small for this niche machine. Put a L39 next to L48 and see what you think.

The M59 may have replaced the L48 size wise, but how about the L45 vs. L48 cost? If it is even close, I would still want the L48 any day. Bigger, better machine dollar for $. Up here a M59 without thumb is $52K, L48s where $40K-.

Those prices seem way high. Barlow Equipment is a WHOLE lot cheaper for the same product. At the prices you quote a guy could buy from Barlow and ship it home cheaper??? What's up with your local dealer? Monopoly thought pattern maybe?

yankee way of thinking, don't sell ten machines at a thousand over costs,, rather sell one machine at ten grand over costs,, See all the time and paperwork saved on one sale verses ten?

I am not sure on pricing, but when I buy machines I check both dealerships here in NH and they are always within a close margin. How much are people out there paying for new L48s and M59s? I was told the prices went up about $1,800+/- due to fuel, steel, and rubber alone since March. Even used L48s with low hours are way past $30K+.

/ L45TLB Info #11
We just had a used L48 with 1000 hours for 26k.

Yes, prices have gone up. Some of the change was material costs, other part was emmisionization changes.

Pricing on tractors is about the highest in the north east than it is anywhere else in the country... thus why so many people drive down to PA to buy tractors.

/ L45TLB Info #12
I have been told just the opposite, That prices in PA are the highest in the country. That may be the reason we sell so many tractors in PA.

Sounds like a formal gentlemen's duel. Choose your weapons (sharpen your pencils) and we'll all meet at the Kubota Corral (respective showrooms) at sunrise! :)

I appreciate hearing the opinions from two respected dealers.

Oh well,

Kubota did not listen to my suggestion to put a 43 x16-20 in rear and 10.5 x 16.5" tire in front.

These slightly larger tires would then have put it more of a direct competitor to the JD 110 and a bit closer to the old L48.

Nice 4 in 1 bucket in the brochure!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Muleskinner! We've had some L48s with pretty low hours (<1000) for less than $25K. We have one left and hope to have one more traded for. But things are a little less toward the south.

There are 4 Kubota dealeaships in NH, not two. I got mine from #3. I think we can agree which one of the 4 usaually trys to sell for the most. If you include northern MA and VT you have 8 dealerships to shop.

/ L45TLB Info #19
There is no difference in the price book between NY or Maine to Florida or Seattle or California! There is a difference in freight getting them to the dealer and of coarse the northern dealers operations do cost a little more do to winter.

This amounts to a smaller price difference then southern dealers might want you to! There are ways to lower prices, some people might not mind! As one southern dealer stated, he's kind of like a mail order house, doesn't have to worry about warrantee problems because the people send them to there local dealer so he doesn't have those extra diagnostic costs to contend with and the time with customers to learn how to operate the equipment properly.

You have lots of dealerships in New England, all of whom I found charge way too much.

Bought my m59 quite happily from Neil Messick, just like my B3030.

Warranty has been handled through the phone, not local dealers, which is fine by me.
