Husqvarna YTH22V46
Model Year: 2014

This is my first riding mower. It seems to have plenty of power and now that I have properly adjusted it, it does a great job cutting the grass. I did have to reduce the tire pressure so that it didn't exceed the max psi stated on the sidewall. I also had to level the deck. The left side was about 7/8" higher than the right side. I decided to check the grease levels by adding grease through the zerks and it took a substantial amount of grease. I am loving this machine, due to the push mower breaking down, and work, I hadn't mowed for 4 weeks. I was able to breeze through 4 weeks of growth and have had no real issues so far. I was told that after 5 hours I need to do an oil change due to the "break in" period, so that is next on the list. The steering column/stem does seem to be a weak point do to its tendency to rust. Again, this is my first riding mower and have had it for a short time, but at this time my one real regret is that I didn't get it sooner!

Pros: Price, power and ease of use.
Cons: Had to do some fine tuning as listed above and the steering column/stem.

Good mower for the price from Lowes. If your're a veteran, you can get a 10% discount on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Veterans' Day. Wish I had known that.

Pros: Nice color and good drink holder.
Cons: Opening for gas tank halfway under front panel, poor design?

Working Great, Better Than Remembered
Model Year: 2013

Great all around step up homeowner mower, not a Lowes version, but not commercial grade either, but fit nicely in between.

Pros: Power, cut quality, locking rear axle, reinforced deck.
Cons: Locking rear tends to tear grass slightly on sharp turns.

YTH22V46XLS Husqvarna
Very Good So Far
Model Year: 2013

This seems to be a very solid built mower I think the updated version became the YT46LS or they simply dropped the 46-inch and went with 48XLS. Either way love the machine and as others have said you must watch about making sharp turn with the locking differential or the inside wheel will tear grass.

Pros: Starts wonderfully, some have complained about having to full choke engine, no problem. strong tranny, mine came with the Briggs endurance engine and not the Kawasaki so far a non-issue.
Cons: Have found none yet, especially it being from a Husqvarna dealer for $1,775.00. I couldn't ask for a better machine.
