Bought my X340 used with 128 hours. Is a Cadillac compared to the cub cadet I had. 25hp Kawasaki engine and a 54' deck. Runs and mows like a dream. You certainly get what you pay for and this JD was worth every penny. More costs than mowers from big stores like Lowes and Home Depot, but several times the quality and will outlast them hands down. Nothing runs like a Deere.
Pros: Powerful, awesome ride, good cut, fast cut, good traction, features easy to use, looks beautiful.
Cons: None.

I bought the JD X340 because of the reviews it received for quality and performance. While i have no issues with it, it is not far and above the other tractors as other reviews noted. It started great in mowing but quickly became just average in cut. I also have some leaking of oil from the transmission and have taken it in 3 times to dealer, each time dealer saying there is nothing wrong, which I hope that is the case. on a bright side, the foot controls are great, steering is amazing. If you have any slope on your yard, then I'd get something with traction control. That is my one big regret as just a little water and slope and this tractor sits and spins. The 54" deck took my mowing from 4 hours to about 1 1/2. Wonderful.
