TYM353 TYM
TYM 353
Model Year: 2013

I just picked up my second 353. In between them, I had the TYM 503. I have had excellent luck with these tractors. I went back to the 353 once I had all the new construction work done on my place. The only issue I have found is a lack of dealers in my state. I do my own repairs, but need to plan ahead with maintaining filters oil/air prior to service. Also, I wish they had a better on-line manual for both the service and operators!

Pros: Frame size, power for size, handling
Cons: lack of New York dealers and manuals

Great Little Tractor
Model Year: 2013

Received my T353 about 5pm and dealer got stuck in my driveway with his 4WD pickup and large 2 axle trail. We had about 2 feet of snow in southern Michigan and my driveway was a mess. He unloaded the tractor and we pulled his truck and trailer out with no problem. I did my driveway and later got my pickup stuck in the same spot, a deep rut in the snow that drug me in. My wife and I pulled my truck out with the tractor with ease. Very impressive traction and torque to spare for only 35 hp. Very pleased with this tractor so far, can't wait to attach a tiller and do my large garden.

Pros: Power and torque.
Cons: Boot on control for bucket was cracked, the dealer is mailing me another to install. Apparently there is a problem with this boot cracking allowing water to run into the cable which can freeze and make the lever inoperable.

T353 - Shuttle Shift
Model Year: 2010

This is one nicely build and strong tractor with loader. Added used TYM backhoe, rear tires filled with "Rim Guard" ballast. Tuff top installed. Got a box blade and 3 bucket forks for moving pallets/debris. Done some 1ft-2ft wet snow pushing/moving, grading and excavation work with good success in our first 20 hours. Need to become more familiar and used to the machine and its operation/capabilities. No more detailed review yet due to lack of use / too new. No undeserved praise just because it's my machine. Anyone reading a review must get a good sense of the unit, what it's capable of, what works, what does not and if this is the great machine I expect it to be and which others can trust. Items to be added: Harrow, plow.

Pros: TYM in US market for years under many different trade names, Mitsubishi Diesel, good price, dealer support so far
Cons: Nothing yet.

TYM353 TYM
TYM 353 with FEL
Model Year: 2010

Great little tractor, super turning ratio, handles well, easy steering, cranking, 3point hitch needs some improvements in terms of strength of members and ease of hitching, easy access to mechanics, easy to get up on for older ones, instruments could use temp gauge, other gauges, overall very satisfied for the money.

Pros: Turning ratio, steering, shuttle shift.
Cons: 3 point hitch has poor strength metal in tensioners.

First, the brief review here is mitigated by my limited experience in tractor ownership. That is to say - I have had zero ownership experience prior to purchasing a TYM-353. I did spend many-a-day (many-a-year) in the field and operating (well, sort of "operating") my grandfathers JD (tricycle), circa 1940. Anyway, my seat-time is less than most country-gentlemen but more than a city-slicker. I've enjoyed the TYM-353 thus far. At 35hp, it's a "large compact tractor," whatever that means. The tractor was purchased "new" as a "dealer demo," with 11 hours total. It's had one problem from the onset of purchase, namely, the PTO was inoperative. This was easily fixed with a email and telephone call to TYM (east coast office); the rep there was pleasant and knowledgeable. He immediately drop-shipped a new control-panel; I swapped the part myself, very easily, with a ratchet and 20-minutes time. No problem since. My machine runs like a top. I reckon the jury is still out on the long-term outlook - but there is little reason to complain at this point. I feel like the price of my new equipment was competitive (or better) - and I have no qualms about the quality of the gear.

Pros: *Price = good and/or competitive. *Mitsubishi engine. *Excellent service from TYM headquarters.
Cons: *I had a less-than-good dealership experience. *This has left me without confidence in future prospects for good and/or fast local service of my machine.

Great little tractor
Model Year: 2010

Sold two wheel drive 55hp Mahindra with FEL and bought this "little" tractor. Fun fun fun to drive, great turning ratio, easy switchbacks for grass cutting with 60" finish mower. Cranks easily, good light coverage including rear work light. Fel has huge bucket, cycles quickly. FWD makes a huge difference. Industrial tires easy on grass (fwd not engaged) Did great pulling plows, disk and tiller. Price was way below Massey, Mahindra etc.

Pros: easy to drive, maneuver, good power, traction, quiet operation
Cons: Seems to love deisel fuel, rear links a little light, tend to bend, needs better height adjustment
