This little tractor is the powerhouse of my being able to maintain 11 acres. It drives a Bush Hog, auger and even a chipper reliably. It has never let me down. Parts can be hard to find but with a little creativity, low cost substitutes can be had.

Pros: Power, maneuverability, reliability.
Cons: It is a little tight getting on and off.

This is Tough One
Model Year: 1978

I live on a small acreage about a mile from a major river in Oklahoma. Consequently, I have fairly sandy soil. So I need a 4-wheel drive small tractor to help me. This little Iseki TS1610 is great. It does what I want and then some; it seems to have plenty of power for such a small engine. I would recommend this tractor to anyone.

Pros: Well built, strong engine, very economical on fuel.
Cons: Constraining command area once you are in the seat.

I bought this tractor after selling my Gehl skid steer. I wanted something with a 3 point and better in the woods. I bought it with a Leon 400 loader on it and thought about not buying it due to getting parts, but the parts aren't that hard to get. It starts every time, its durable as hell and I love it.

Pros: Simplicity of the mechanics.
Cons: Seat isn't for the larger men.

TS1610 Iseki
Great For 4 Acres
Model Year: 1978

This Iseki Tractor has proved itself time and time again. The 3 speed transmission coupled with the 3 speed Range and 2 speed Creep give 18 ratios for the perfect gearing for any job. With 4 wheel drive and a differential lock, the only way to stop it is to bottom out the chassis on a berm. (Don't ask how I know, had to see what it would do) The front bucket is handy, but lacks serious power coming off the original pump. I use both a blade and mower on the rear with no problems. The one MUST HAVE addition is a PTO overrun clutch for mowing. The mower will push the tractor a long way without it. In close quarters it takes heavy braking to stop the tractor before the mower winds down. The clutch ran about $50, and was worth every penny to reduce brake and gear train wear. A very good purchase decision!

Pros: Gearing, simplicity and low initial cost.
Cons: No power steering.

The 1610 is a good tractor for small acreage. The only drawbacks are that it is not built for large people, and some of the controls are placed in hard to reach areas. The tractor runs well and is very dependable. The only problem I have had with the operation of the tractor was a temperature problem. The small radiator gets stopped up easily with grass clippings, which causes the engine to overheat. For the money, the Iseki is a good value.

Pros: Great running; dependable tractor.
Cons: Not made for large people.

2-wheel drive 2-cyl. diesel,16 h.p. great small tractor have had for about a year, use for brush hogging and some box blade work.

Pros: Lots of power; very manuverable.
Cons: It's kind of light in the front end. I need to put some more weights on it.
