T2380 48" Infinity Deck
Model Year: 2010
After viewing and considering the JD X320 , a friend told me he could get a NEW Kubota T2380 for 10% less than usual retail and save 10% over the comparable JD price . I read the Kubota sales blurb and ordered the T2380 unseen. I was annoyed to see that the Kubota branded engine was the cheapest Kohler available. It also knocked under load. The deck cut was atrocious. It's actually designed as a mulching deck (built-in deck slider), but won't cut any differently with the deck open! The deck is way too shallow and two 25" counter-rotating blades don't throw the clipping out ! This causes it to bog-down in thick/damp grass. No one mentioned that only one rear wheel is driven by the transmission. It was hopeless on slopes. I wish I'd have researched this on TBN, but even here there's little said about the model. I traded it at another Kubota Dealer that's just opened (hungry for sales) and got 91% of my money back towards a BX2360 54"MMM - now that's a real machine! All's well that ends well? No! Avoid this garbage. You've been warned!
Pros: Excellent ride from cushion suspension.
Cons: Deck design is hopeless. Cheap engine. Only drives one ( ! ) back wheel. The front wheels are too small.
