M6800 Kubota
Very Reliable
Model Year: 2005

It has been extremely reliable, knock wood, and I have been able to service it myself without much mechanical ability. I use a 6-foot bush hog, 9-foot pull type disk, loader, and a 100-gallon 3-point sprayer. Don't empty the fuel filter and water trap at the same time or you'll play hell bleeding and restarting - I finally soaked my t-shirt in some gas and held it in air cleaner. I would not want 2-wheel drive model.

Pros: Reliability, simple service
Cons: Hard to bleed fuel system

M6800 Kubota
Good Tractor
Model Year: 2005

Everything has worked well with the tractor and has pretty good power. I pull a Vermeer 5x5 Silage baler and it handles it pretty good. It doesn't have the emission crap on it either. The only problem I have ever had was the clutch needed replaced at 1200 hrs.

Pros: Excellent tractor so far
Cons: Replaced the clutch at 1200 hours

M6800 Kubota
M6800 an Excellent Medium-Duty Tractor
Model Year: 2006

I bought this tractor new after getting fed up with my MF175, which I still use to haul wagons, etc. The M6800 has been super reliable and is an excellent choice for medium-duty work such as hay-making, snow-blowing, manure spreading, and light tillage. Definitely get the FWD model, or you'll probably have a very different opinion of this tractor. The only time I get upset with this tractor is when I have to bleed the fuel line when replacing a filter or dumping the water separator, perhaps because the bleed mechanism is so poorly described in the owner's manual.

Pros: Fuel efficiency, reliability, durability.
Cons: Fuel line bleed could be better; no brake indicator.

Kubota M6800
Model Year: 2005

My very first tractor purchased from a dealer in Waxahachie, TX. I knew nothing about tractors but they set me up with the equipment I needed for this job (340 acres of treed pastures). Lots of mowing, clearing brush, hauling, lifting, etc. I have 12 implements and all operate great. This tractor is not too small nor too big for the job, just right. Very dependable and relatively easy to operate.

Pros: Dependable and easy to operate.
Cons: None.

M6800 Kubota
M6800 Not a Winner
Model Year: 2007

This tractor bought with @200 hr on it from a Kubota dealer. Lower ram packin' started leakin' in @ 20 hrs. Dealer would not take care of it. Had rebuilt, lasted @80 hr and ram snapped in half. Dealer would not fix under any warranty and or customer satisfaction. Had new ram put on, shop showed me were ram was previously cracked /rusted at surface crack. Also showed me that entire bucket/lift system is off by @ 2" when sitting on level ground. Asked dealer again to do warranty and correct system---"no". At @ 600hr. started to have to continually adjust clutch, now at 956 hr needs clutch now. Have never had a clutch go out on any of our tractors over the yrs. some with 4000 plus hrs. No dealer should sell this kind of equipment . Must have been leased and beaten up before they sold it to me. Very disappointed with local dealer and Kubota in general. This model is 60 hp too small for cat 2 emplacement , too large for cat 1. Not a good way to go.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: See above.

M6800 Kubota
Good Tractor
Model Year: 2005

Bought used with 72 hrs. at auction. It is a utility w/loader and I like it a lot. I made a Bob-Tach adapter for the loader arms and I can now use Bobcat attachments. It pulls a 17' batwing mower with plenty of reserve power. I feel that I got more tractor for the money than I would have buying a JD or NH.

Pros: Heavy built, durable and easy to maintain.
Cons: 3-point hitch arm does not adjust far enough.

Recently purchased a used Kubota M6800 with only 220 hours. Looks and operates like new. Can't really give a proper review yet as haven't had it long enough but did have a Kubota m5700SU and can't fault it other than only being 2 wheel drive. I believe Kubota tractors to be very reliable.

Pros: Very powerful.
Cons: Don't know any yet.

Excellent tractor cab and Kubota loader. Air conditioner thermostat does not work right; either hot or cold. Air cond. compressor switch quit working and had to wire a switch around it. The original battery die. I guess not bad for 9 years old. The fuel gauge in not reading the proper fuel level. It is a shame the owners know more about the tractor than some the dealers. They could not tell me where on the engine the water jacket goes.

Pros: NA.
Cons: NA.

M6800 Kubota
Kubota Workhorse
Model Year: 2005

This has been a second tractor, somewhat accounting for the low usage hours. Neither machine has a real high number on the hour meter. The Kubota has mostly been used for clearing ground, pulling trees, mowing and some work with a three-way box blade. It has also been used to auger post holes. I have never been sorry that I bought Kubota.

Pros: Excellent fuel economy, easy 3-point hookup, strong pulling machine, always ready to work.
Cons: Difficulty raising and lowering ROP.

Hay is Green Gold; My Kubota is a Beautiful Orange
Model Year: 2002

Has proven admirable when digging cedar stumps, clearing rotten railroad ties, shredding. Hope to put the machine through its paces when the drought breaks to till and plant hay seed.

Pros: Well laid out controls; High build quality.
Cons: ROPS can be cold or hot or wet and noisy (too tight to pay for cab tractor).

Kubota M6800 Workhorse
Model Year: 2003

I've been using this tractor lately with a 1200 pound Landpride 84-inch box blade and it doesn't even whimper. It's a smooth riding, easy starting beast and can smoothly pull a 250-gal sprayer, rotary hay cutter, or JD 347 baler with nary a complaint. I've been surprised at how little fuel it consumes (I can usually cut 12-20 acres and bail on the same tank). I bought 5-inch pipe plugs and store a chain and a few tools in the cross-pipe on the FEL. The TractorTunes radio keeps me company when the days are long.

Pros: Workhorse, fuel economy, dependable, lg loader payload.
Cons: Too big for some jobs, would prefer hydrostatic transmission.

The Clutch takes some getting used to, It has to have plenty of free travel in it. When in 4 wheel drive and under a load you must use a lower gear or the clutch will chirp a bit. This may be common in 4 wheel driver models, this is the first one I have owned. I use the tractor to put up hay for beef cattle. We bale 5x5 rolls and it has no problem moving the rolls 2 at a time. The three point hook up system is sweet. Very easy to hook up almost anything. Servicing the tractor is a breeze, the hood lifts up and everything is within an arms reach.

Pros: Reliability, 3 point hook up system, service access.
Cons: Clutch

Kubota M6800
Model Year: 1998

Very dependable tractor with plenty of power. Have Kubota bucket and 10ft. 35 series Landpride field/brush cutter. Handles the cutter on steep hills without any problem. Cut about 20 acres. I do regular maintenance on all my equipment (mostly fluid and filter changes)and have never had the tractor in for any type of repair. I also have a Kubota 2400B for gardening as well as a Kubota RTV and a Kubota Z25 mower. Have not had any problems with my Kubota equipment. Just a side note... the 6800 still starts with no problem on the original battery that came when I purchased it new in 1998!

Pros: Dependability and low maintenance
Cons: Fuel filter clogs easily

Kubota 6800

My Kubota 6800 always does the job. I would buy another one or two. It is dependable and saved me about $7,000 vs New Holland, $10,000 vs John Deere. If I traded I would get a shuttle, sometimes my leg gets tired working the clutch.

Pros: Dependable, good fuel economy
Cons: Clutch hard to press after lengthy working round bales
