LGT24K54 Husqvarna
Will Not Climb Hills
Model Year: 2012

The tractor runs fine going straight, but after 30 min. it will not go up even a small grade. Got service policy at Lowes for 4 years having trouble getting someone to look at it. Never buy another lawn tractor at Lowes.

Pros: No pros.
Cons: Won't climb hills.

Great Value
Model Year: 2012

I needed to buy up in build after ten year with a Scotts John Deere mowing pretty rough terrain. I just passed 1k hours and the tranny started to fail and the replacement cost was too high (though I will repair it myself when time allows). Started looking at the same model John Deere which was 2k, and still a lawn tractor. Their garden tractors were beyond me, so I looked at the Husky garden tractor which was just $300.00 more. Up in Northern New England where I come from Husky anything is the norm, so bought this. I don't regret it. Superb build, balance, quiet 26 HP engine, very stable on steep slopes, ergonomically advanced, and incredibly smooth cutting for three blades. I don't have to take a ton of ibuprofen after 5 hours of mowing anymore because it's not a bone shaker. It also has a 4 gallon tank so I don't have to stop and fill often. I've heard complaints this is not a real Husky, it's made by MTD (NOT), and it is made in America (SC plant where they make consumer market products). All those complaints are bull. If you need a garden tractor at good price and great build integrity, buy this.

Pros: All of the above.
Cons: None.
