I also own a 1977 Cub Cadet 1806 (very sturdy) and a Cub Cadet 2011 GT2354 (flimsy & plasticky).

Pros: Sturdy, affordable.
Cons: Not as "comfy" or quiet as newer models.

Love my tractor. Only hard thing is finding parts and attachments for it.

Pros: Great running tractor.
Cons: Getting attachments for it.

Right on par with the John Deere 400. Great power; pulled my Lincoln town car like it was barely there. The hydro trans is tough according to what I've read about the tractor. It 1200 lb. It has 3 pt. hitch power steering cruise control front hyd. port, 60" mowing deck rear PTO option. A good, capable tractor for its size. I do wish it had independent brakes; it has a wide turning radius. Parts are hard to find if you need something specific to the tractor.

Pros: Great tractor, good engine, good trans.
Cons: Parts are expensive; a rare tractor at about $6,000 new in the late 70's. I'm guessing they didn't sell very many.
