Kioti LB1914: Strong Little Tractor
Model Year: 2007

We bought this 2007 Kioti LB1914 a few weeks ago, after looking at many Kubota's and other brands, both new and used. After using this Kioti for the past few weeks, I'm really glad that we didn't pay a lot more for a new tractor. This LB1914 is a great small tractor, and has a really strong well built large frame, with plenty of power for its class. We like it much better than the new small framed tractors being built by most companies now. It might not have a hydro-static transmission, but the shuttle shift is easy to use, and works great with a full range of speeds. We have already used this Kioti for a good amount of work around our property, with a lot more still yet to do. But the heaviest work we have done with it was to move some very large boulders that was in our field, and even one that was by our house. All of these rocks were too large to get into the bucket, but we used a heavy duty chain to hold them onto the FEL and picked them up and moved them to rock piles. There was at least one rock that was to heavy for the tractor to pick up completely off the ground, our estimates it was at least 1500 lbs or more. This Kioti LB1914 might not have been able to pick up this boulder... but we put it into 4 wheel drive, and it pushed it all the way to the rock pile pretty easily. Overall, we couldn't be happier with this Kioti LB1914. Its a great little tractor for the money and in my opinion it is a perfect fit for most property owners, or even small farms like ours.

Pros: Strong engine and strong large frame for its class.
Cons: It wasn't free.

LB1914 Kioti
First Tractor
Model Year: 2004

Also bought mine in Owensboro from O'Bryans, has front end loader. I have removed trees and stumps, moved rip rap, tons of dirt. The only problem I've had is the gears in the front end have broken twice both on the right side. It is ten years old.

Pros: Plenty of power for size.
Cons: None.

Kioti LB1914 Review
Model Year: 2005

I was looking for a small but sturdy and powerful tractor to use for maintaining 3 acres of residential property. We had a new landscaping project going on for about 1 1/2 acres. The tractor was used to rip and level ground with a box blade. Dirt and material was moved with the front-end loader. The backhoe was used to die holes, remove stumps, etc. All in all it has been a great little tractor. Working in bare dirt can cause the radiator to be caked with dust, forcing a rise in operating temperature. The dirt is easily sprayed off the radiator and it's back to it's normally low operating temperature. It's gear driven and very versatile in the number of speeds available in both forward and reverse. The backhoe mounts across the entire length of the frame, so it is rock solid and quite strong. This little guy outworked the landscapers larger Deere tractor, as it sat overheating constantly while trying to rip the ground.

Pros: Easy to work on, strong diesel engine, solidly built. Very stout 3 point lift. Beefier and far cheaper than any similar size tractors of name brand.
Cons: Getting the backhoe on and off is a chore. Finding a regulator that matched original has been impossible. Having issues with the smaller so called replacement regulators, that also have a different hole pattern for mounting than original. Very tippy when moving dirt with the bucket high. This is probably the same for all little tractors I would think.

Kioti Too Narrow
Model Year: 2004

The tractor has been reliable. No problems mechanically. Works pretty hard for the size. It is a dangerous tractor though. It was designed way too narrow. It will tip over sideways very easily. Our land is not very unlevel but both of us have come close to tipping over. The tires are out as far as possible and filled with fluid. Had a small JD before this Kioti and it did not have the same issues.

Pros: Mechanically good.
Cons: Easy tip over.

Unsteady Tractor
Model Year: 2004

My tractor wants to roll over very easily. Put water in tires but hasn't helped. My land is not very unlevel. Feel unsafe on it.

Pros: Dependable.
Cons: Easy to roll.

Great Little Tractor for the Money
Model Year: 2003

I bought my Kioti from o'bryan implements sales in Owensboro KY 270 684 1741. The price was 18.600 it included a mazziote back hoe an allied front loader post hole roof finish mower rottor tiller and some kind of trencher sub soiler that I never used. It broke down I crack the housing on the rear end the Paul snr drove down from KY to mass end replaced the tractor with another one no questions asked he also replaced my front bucket from a 4' to a 5'snow bucket for free. The sad thing is I love my Kioti but Paul no longer sells them sells parts ect. were can you find a dealer with that kind of dedication to customers. I just looked at a new Kioti 20hp front loader and back hoe almost 23.000.00 I'm sure it still a great tractor, but if you have the opportunity to purchase a used one you will save a lot of money and get a great tractor. Nine years - no problems and always there for me in the new England snow and ice storms always outside and like Paul said when he delivered it this tractor will start with no problem the first time at below 0 temps it did it the day I purchased it and it does it now .

Pros: Price and quality of build.
Cons: None.

LB1914 Kioti
Small But Sturdy Kioti Tractor
Model Year: 2003

Although no longer available from Kioti, the model LB1914 was the ideal solution for me since I needed a strong front-end loader for clearing a sumac forest yet a light enough tractor that I could mow my front lawn. Six years later my tractor is still running fine and my lawn now encompasses the original 2 acres plus the additional cleared acre. Even though its PTO HP is low (17) I am still able to run a Wallenstein model MDX40 chipper/shredder with it. My wife and I regret that we didn't buy a compact tractor many years sooner; it has immensely added value to our property. My only regret is that I didn't buy the backhoe in the original package.

Pros: My tractor has taken a great deal of abuse during the clearing of a wilderness. I am simply amazed at the power of the KL1210 front-end loader in carrying heavy delimbed trees around.
Cons: Discontinued model so some parts (radiator hoses) have to be substituted from auto parts stores. The shuttle shift lever broke at the weld which I easily rewelded with a MIG. A sumac branch pierced my radiator from below but it was easily replaced.

LB1914 Kioti
Older model but GREAT tractor
Model Year: 1995

Purchased this at an auction. Used to be BSU's (Boise State University) tractor with turf tires. I don't know it's real year or hours as the meter has never worked. I've used this little guy quite abit and have been suprized. As previously posted the FEL power is VERY strong and and even with the box scraper on the back with weights it still lifts the rear end. I've never got it stuck the mud as the FEL will pull-push with no problem. I would highly recommend this model.

Pros: LOT of power, small and compact
Cons: Older models have these cons but the newer ones don't. (as far as I am aware of) levers at your feet and easy to kick the tranny out, wiring harness is on top of the floor pan and will wear. Tranny fill cap is in a poor location.

LB1914 Kioti
My Kioti after 8 years of use and abuse
Model Year: 2002

Purchased with Sun Shade, KMW Front End Loader, brush cutter, plow. This machine is not hard to maintain. Right-off-the-bat, I bought a Lincoln rechargeable grease gun as some Zerk locations require 3 hands with a manual gun. Always use Mobil 1 grease. Rarely covered so the FEL has faded to red, whereas the Kioti parts still have good paint and shine. The seat has not worn out, and the battery have never lost it's charge. The High/Low Transmission Range selector requires a huge amount of pressure to move for unknown reason. Hurricane Katrina tore up the sun shade but a year after, I patched it together and it is still functional. Delivered with Ag tires. After Katrina, switched fronts to Industrial, replaced brush cutter, and added box blade.

Pros: 8 Forward and 8 Reverse Gears/Powerful/Just the right size
Cons: Room for your 2 feet but too cluttered to board from right side.

LB1914 Kioti
LB1914 - solid 20 hp tractor
Model Year: 0

The Kioti LB1914 is a solid tractor in the 20 hp category. This tractor is no longer made and it is an old style mechanical forward reverse shuttle on the column with 4 synchronized gears on the floor and 2 ranges, 4x4, 2 PTO speeds. Ground speed at rated RPM is from about 0.75 - 11 mph. The 3 cylinder 0.9L diesel does a good job and has been bullet proof reliable in the first 400 hours. Nothing fancy here, manual fuel shut off, mechanical injectors. Always starts, no mater how long it sits. This tractor is heavier than most 20 hp tractors (2300 pounds with no attachments or fill), 50% heavier than JD or Kubota. And because of it's weight, it can do more. It is built solid and feels much more substantial than other 20 hp tractors I have used. Rear lift is good at 1300 pounds 24" behind the eyes. Loader lift is adequate (rated at 1600 break out 800-900 full lift, both at the pin). I turned up the pressure a little and if you have a bucket corner caught, it will lift the rear with filled tires and a back blade on the 3pt. Roll back is too weak, partially because it has a nice big bucket. Consequently it can often lift when it can't roll back. All in all, the tractor does more than most 20 hp tractors will. The trany is efficient and most the power makes it to the PTO. I have done nothing but change fluids and filters in the tractor. I wasn't happy with traction from industrial tires at first but once I aired the rears down to 8 psi she hooked up a lot better. Very happy with this tractor. If you are looking for a solid, mechanical 20 hp tractor at a good price, the LB1914 is a good choice.

Pros: heavy, sychronized gears, simple, reliable, can be found at a good price
Cons: shuttle not sychronized, bucket curl strength not great, no aux. rear hydaulics, doesn't make coffee
