JD45202 John Deere
Not What I Expected
Model Year: 2012

After purchasing what I thought was a top-of-the-line tractor and matching attachments I have had problems with all three. Starting with a leaking front engine bearing, a PTO attachment shaft that was not cut to the correct length, causing damage to the tractor PTO and PTO on attachment to now damage occurring whenever I run either the cutter or tiller the PTO's are binding causing damage to the splines. I am being told that the shafts are still not cut to the correct lengths, but the dealership is charging me for repairs when they are the ones that set everything up.

Pros: Not sure yet.
Cons: Lots of unexpected problems with limited use.

John Deere Compact
Model Year: 2013

This is My 4th 4000 series compact, and an 870 JD compact. In the past I owned Case IH, Cub Cadet Compact 4WD. Keep getting a little more HP, looked at Kubota, but the wife said, "Why? We have never had any issues with the Deere", and her kitchen is decorated in John Deere.

Pros: Reliable, stout, hold value.
Cons: Expensive.
