JD4320 John Deere
JD 4320 Cab
Model Year: 2013

I have had this tractor for just over a year. It has had a few minor issues. The alternator needed replacing at 16 hrs, however it got replaced without incident. The front axle needed some paint touch ups, again, no issue. And finally, the front option fenders were not good and kept ripping off by the front tires. John Deere rebuild with changes at no cost to me and they now work fine. I recommend this tractor for a small acreage, it has help up very well for me and John Deere has treated all the minor things as important and treated me very well. The one area I would like to see JD improve is to include some options as standard such as other makes (ie, lights on rear of cab, etc)

Pros: Dealership / Company treatment
Cons: Price and lacks standard options

4320 Compact John Deere
Model Year: 2010

Our 4320 has all the options cab heat and air. Ag tires. self-leveling loader, quick change bucket. Also have a cat-1 quick-hitch on the back. plus a hyd. top link. You can hitch and go without getting off. even on rough ground. It will pull a 6 row no-till planter 5 mph. We could use 3 rear hyd. outlets. It just has one. There has been absolutely nothing wrong with it in 4 years and 900 plus hrs. JD needs to make the 6000 series tractor with a E-hydro trans. Missing the boat. This 4320 will load 4X5 bales almost as quick as a skid steer. 1/3 faster than a 6410.

Pros: User friendly, no problems.
Cons: Could use more HP, seat needs holes drilled farther back for bigger people.

Model Year: 2009

Poor reliability, especially with the hydraulic system. The unresolved return suction screen issue has damaged and contaminated the hydraulic system on this 3520 as well as previous 4000 series compacts that I have owned. Poor customer service from Deere's recreational division has prompted me to replace my 4000 series Deere's as well as this 3520. None of my previous 4000 or newer 3520 and 100TLB reached the 200 hour mark without having major mechanical/hydraulic issues. Prior Yanmar platformed geared Deere models like the 750, 850, 950 and 1050 were (are) indestructible. We still own a 750 with the 7 iron belly mower that has close to 14000 hrs on it. Other than new tires and a steering cylinder hose, nothing than regular maintenance keeps it going.

Pros: Great engine and operator ergonomics.
Cons: Poor loader balance, poor reliability, terrible hydraulic and rockshaft performance.

Very pleased with this tractor. Have owned 2 Kubotas and 2 New Holland tractors before (bought , used and sold ). Son in law convinced me to buy a Deere. From the moment I sat on it, I found it very user friendly. Seat location & seating far superior to Kubota. All levers, pedals etc. much more comfortable than competition. Fenders and all fiberglass much higher quality than New Holland and not crack prone.

Pros: Resale value and comfort.
Cons: A little pricier.

John deere above all
Model Year: 2010

This is my third compact tractor from John Deere. They are reliable, strong, friendly user, good stability, easy to find part, attachment ect. Best resale value, even on trade at dealer. Worth the money invest.

Pros: All of what you are looking for and more is either there or available.
Cons: SCV lever stiff, being told by dealer that they had stiff it up by customer demand, not too sure about that one...need to be investigate!

JD4320 John Deere
New Green Machine
Model Year: 2011

After using a 1948 Ford 8N with a Dual Front loader on my small hobby farm for a few years, I was helping a friend in Montana and used his newer John Deere. That is when I decided to buy a new John Deere 4320 with a 400X loader. Obviously, there is no comparison between the two. The power and torque of the diesel, plus having 4 wheel drive and the much more capable front loader of which I recently added the 4 in 1 bucket, make the chores so much easier. I also found an almost new 448 backhoe which bolted right on. Now I'm dangerous! Although I still have the ol' 8N, she mainly stays in the shop in hopes of getting restored. Those old tractors have character.

Pros: Power, comfort, reliability, options.
Cons: Cost.

This is a handy tractor. Easy to operate and is quiet. The front wheel assist is especially nice when using the loader to move dirt or aggregate. The cab is very comfortable.

Cons: Expensive to buy.

JD4320 John Deere
John Deere 4320 and John Deere 955
Model Year: 2011

The John Deere 4320 is a new purchase and I haven't had a chance to check it out really well yet. Bought it with the backhoe, box scraper, front end loader, and snow blower attachments. Seems to be a very nice mid-sized tractor and has quite a bit of power. I also have a 1992 John Deere model 955 with backhoe, 5 foot tiller, 6 foot rear blade, 9" post hole auger, 4' bush hog, and front end loader. This has been a very versatile tractor for me and has saved me much work through the years. For it's size it has an abundance of power. It is also equipped with flotation turf tires keeping yard damage to a minimum.

Pros: So far the 4320 seems to be great all around!
Cons: Haven't picked up on any cons as of yet.

JD4320 John Deere
John Deere 4320 Large Frame Cut
Model Year: 2008

I bought a JD 4320 to help with heavy tasks on my small farm in VT. Mostly it does lift and carry tasks, managing manure and compost. I also do a small amount of forestry work, rototilling, etc. My machine is setup with E Hydro, rimguard loaded Ag tires, FEL, Ice Pick tire chains and 748 Backhoe. I really like the E-hydro options when roto tilling. I run the chains in the winter and never slip. In the summer, I take them off because I sometimes travel town roads. I have not been thrilled with my dealer. The salesman did not come off as overly honest. But they covered me on correcting putting the wrong ballast in my tires. When I was looking at buying, I also looked at Kubota. I went with John Deere because my brother already had one so it was a known quantity and because the cost difference was a wash. Now that I know more about Kubota's ergonomics and controls setup, I am happy I went with John Deere. My JD was expensive (I am making the final payment this month), but I am happy with my investment.

Pros: Powerful, well designed and built, strong dealer network.
Cons: Not cheap.

JD 4320 Great Tractor
Model Year: 2009

This is the perfect size tractor for most duties, not too big to do damage on trails and not too small to tackle big projects! The hydro static was the best thing about this tractor, it is smooth plus quite.

Pros: Power, hydro static smooth/quite, versatile.
Cons: Not sure yet.

My 4320 (has HST) has the full cab feature, all the extra lights, A/C, heat, stereo radio/CD player, adjustable air ride seat, front end loader bucket is clam shell design, have qwik attach implement, 8 ft rake, fork lift forks. This tractor is a dream! Makes light work of many tasks around our horse ranch where we have 14 horses. Everything works superbly as advertised and I would recommend it in a heartbeat, and would buy it all over again. It's 48 hp. The front end loader goes to a height of 111 inches. We also have a 2004 Kubota B7800 for lighter work, getting in and out of horse stalls, tight places, rake the arenas with this one.

Pros: Powerful; high lift front end loader.
Cons: None.

JD 4320

This is an excellent tractor! I've owned an NH 40 AND 45 and Kubota. I find the Deere friendlier to operate, controls more comfortable, the seat's nicer, lots of power, and the sizing is great! It has better bodywork, detailing and finish than other brands. Parts pricing and availability are excellent. I would definitely buy it again.

Pros: Resale value. Operator controls.
Cons: One minor electrical problem, but was easily fixed.

JD4320 John Deere
Deere 4320 w/400CX Loader
Model Year: 2007

Hi, I just joined this forum and was asked to review my tractor, so this is it. Y'all were a giant help when I was researching back in '07, but I didn't bother joining...so I figure this is the least I can do. In a nutshell, I can't say enough good things about this tractor. It's been absolutely perfect in all respects. I've read various problems that others have had, but I haven't had one yet. Due to health reasons, I haven't been out much this year, but I worked it pretty hard for 3 years--lots of plowing and loader work, and especially boxblading. I used a 7' KK boxblade to grade a pasture and create a 1/2 mile trail through a forest. Boxblading can be a heavy load on a tractor, and this one never had a problem. Using this tractor was a thrill, though a couple hidden roots and stumps jolted me back down to Earth! The dents in my garage will attest that the loader stretches out just a little more than it looks! I originally went in to buy a 5103 because I wanted the classic Deere 3 cylinder, but the dealer talked me into the ehydro on the 4230 since I was a rookie. That was a great call on his part and working this monster has been a piece of cake. I've maintained it as instructed, and never had even the slightest problem. It always starts first time, every time and has operated absolutely magnificently. I guess there's not much to add, since I can't think of a serious negative. It's been nothing but a pleasure, and has done everything asked of it with ease. If you can afford it (unlike me these days!), I strongly recommend it.

Pros: Power; Reliability; Ease of use; Good operators manual; Everything exactly as claimed.
Cons: The hook by the 3pt jammed against the implement, so I took it off. The rubber hydraulic lines were loose against the right tire, so I bungied them up away--both my kind of fixes!

JD4320 John Deere
JD 4320 With Cab
Model Year: 2006

We've been very happy with our 4320. Having horses, we have a lot of opportunity to use it. Mowing pastures, spreading manure, moving dirt, plowing snow, dragging the pen and driveways, etc. We have a front loader with a bucket and a pallet forks. We also have an I-match for the 3-point hitch. The one thing I will recommend to anyone looking to get one is get the cab. It is heated and air conditioned. Most importantly though it keeps you away from bugs. Flies and mosquitoes are abundant, and when I am mowing the pastures or using the spreader they end up all over the glass on the cab. Thankfully they are not on me.

Pros: Reliable and versatile.
Cons: A bit pricey.

Really am happy with this tractor. While I don't have many hours on it, I'm pleased with controls, power, quality of the product and find it much more comfortable to operate than the N.H TC 40 and 45 I've owned. My only complaint is part prices (I bought a block heater -ouch 3 times as expensive as New Holland). I'd buy a Deere again. I've also had Kubota and they are not in the same league as this tractor.

Pros: Quality and handyness of controls.
Cons: Part prices.

Overall I think I would buy it again. I think there are a couple of things that would enhance the tractor. 1) On the Hydro, the gears (H,M,L) are so tight and close it is hard to tell what gear you are in. An indicator light would be nice. 2) Foot pedal does not control the RPMs when traveling. You have to utilize the hand throttle. I had a Kubota 3940 that would allow you to use the hand throttle OR switch to the pedal controlling the RPMS. That was more efficient and economical. Dealer says that is standard on the JD 4530, but not an option on 4320. Had one computer problem when new, it kept giving error messages. Dealer first said it was MY fault. After a few more calls and more complaining...they fixed it. No problem with it taking a few tries to fix it...but don't blame it on operator error. Made me a little mad.

Pros: Love the cab, A/C in middle Georgia is NICE. Strong, does all I need it to do.
Cons: Short wheel base/rides rough. Wish I had got the air seat.

Fantastic tractor, I'd recommend it to anyone. I considered also some other makes at the comparable price, but none was as powerful. JD 4320 really grunts through everything. I don't have any photos at the moment, but you can find out how it looks for example in classifieds, for example at Mascus: under tractors for sale.

Pros: powerful, hydro, durable body
Cons: -
