John Deere 310a Backhoe

First time backhoe owner, bought a 30 year old machine that needed some work, but have been proud to own it, and has really been a learning experience. Dealer seems to be able to get anything I have needed so far. The performance has been getting better and more reliable the more I repair things that the previous owner neglected. These machines are fairly simple, but the hydraulics are somewhat hard to diagnose, sometimes I'll ask questions on the web and not get very good answers, but people seem very helpful to try to help when it comes to fixing a Deere. Overall good machine for its age

Pros: Simple machine to operate.
Cons: Somewhat costly parts.

Hi, I am Marty. The webmaster asked me to write a little review of my tractor. Actually my father owns the John Deere backhoe and tractors. I was actually at this site to get some info in the size and strength of chains I needed to pull trees out of the woods for firewood. found some very good stuff here. Thanks guys.

John Deere 310C
Model Year: 1989

Nice older backhoe. Ours is a basic two wheel drive with standard hoe (no extend-a-hoe). Works for our needs and has been very reliable. Best machine I've ever dealt with for routine service. Everything is readily accessible and straight forward. Even though it is an older machine I have had no problems getting parts for it.

Pros: Works well, easy to work on.
