JD2130 John Deere
John Deere 2130
Model Year: 1975

Tractor was second-hand upon purchase. It required repairs to steering and 3 point linkage plus needed servicing & lubrication. It still has a problem with the transmission which I haven't got to the bottom of yet, but overall it seems to be a good unit for its age. it is fitted with a front-end loader bucket, and came with a post hole borer for the 3 point linkage (which also needed some repair).

Pros: Had attachments I wanted, and was reasonably priced.
Cons: Needed repairs, and still has a transmission problem.

JD2130 John Deere
Oldie but Goodie
Model Year: 1975

Rebuilt engine. New tires, painted etc. Hydraulics are terrific with the 146 loader. More power than is normally needed. New muffler but still a loud beast. When it has traction there ain't much stopping it.

Pros: Power.
Cons: Noise level.

JD2130 John Deere
2130 John Deere 4wd
Model Year: 1978

I purchased this tractor mainly to open my lane in the winter and to do small jobs around the bush. It has so far being a very good tractor - never gave me any problems. I also purchase a front end loader ( JD 146) to attach to it. The only deception is the front wheel drive is not that good, being hydraulic. It is not like a real 4wd. It's spins fast on ice and stops spinning at the smallest resistance and it doesn't seem to be forcing at all. Beside that everything else works fine.

Pros: Price.
Cons: 4wd.
