Good Old Tractor

i purchased this 350U several years ago. It had a loader that went with it that the former owner never used. It was a trip bucket loader and I have used it to clean our sheep barn many years and it works quite well. The hydraulic valve placement is awkward but can be tolerated. The tractor runs great and is reliable. We also mow hay, disc, haul manure, etc with it. It is very powerful for its size.

Pros: Reliable, powerful, manuverable
Cons: Hydraulic valve placement

We're Bonding

Since I bought this used we have had bonding experiences. Right now I am doing a ring job and finding rings without buying new sleeves and all has been somewhat of a challenge. I use it for plowing snow and pulling logs.

Pros: It does the job.
Cons: Little things keep me busy.

International 350 Utility (Wide Front End)

My wife bought this for fathers day that year. I have many hours to put in, before a paint job. The mechanical part and leaks are fixed.

Pros: Starts very easy, has enough power.
Cons: Needs powering steering.

Nice old tractor loader. Got it and it needed some TLC. Did adjustments according to service manual, changed fluids and hydraulic pump, did some welding, charging system (which I think is poor), gauges, rebuilt carb, some wiring, belts.etc. Tractor is very dependable, starts up on the coldest days is pretty smooth for an old tractor.

Pros: Very dependable.
Cons: Bucket loader not very strong.

An Oldie But a Goodie

I basically bought it so I could clear the snow off the drive and road. At the time we had my wife's mother living with us and we never knew when we'd have to get her to a doctor. I paid $3,200.00 for it, the end loader and the back blade. It came with a fairly new set of chains too. It has some electrical problems, and the hyd. pump on the end-loader needs rebuilt. But it does everything I have asked of it. I was told it had sat for many years, and I think that it did because the fuel tank is full of rust. It starts easily if I keep the battery charged. I have to set the charge manual as the regulator has issues at times too.

Pros: Nice power, TA works.
Cons: Rust in fuel system, needs voltage regulator, rewired.

1958 350 IH Utility Tractor

I bought this tractor with only 620 hours on it. It has sit a long time and I am working in getting the fuel system all cleaned up. It has a lot of rust in it. The loader and blade work well. The hydraulics are noisy, but work well also. Most of my work with it is pushing snow and grading my drive.

Pros: Dual hydraulics work well.
Cons: Power governor at hitch has been welded so govenor doesn't work real well.

Used on Small Farm

We have a small sheep farm and I needed a tractor with a loader for cleaning barn and general duty on the farm. This tractor starts all the time and runs well. I have some old Farmall's that are also reliable. I have used this for cleaning barn, plowing, discing, brush hogging and running a haybine. It has worked very effectively. It is showing it's years with some weeping and seeping in spots. The only feature I do not like is the location of the hydraulic controls. They are somewhat in the way for getting your foot and leg in the proper position.

Pros: Reliable.
Cons: Hydraulic control placement.

IH 350 utility diesel

I don't think my opinion about this tractor is worth much. I bought it for $2000 in 1975 when I was 16 and haven't owned anything to compare it to. All I can say is that it's done a lot of work for me, and when it's had a problem it's always been my fault. Except for the fact the brakes have always been horrible, and I've had to modify the power steering priority valve. I can give it 5 stars for build quality because for all it's faults it's still running. I'm not going to be around to see, but it's hard to believe that many of the new units will still be getting the job done in 53 years. At this point my emotional attachment to the old beast would make any review of mine badly biased.

Pros: Owned it forever.
Cons: Bad brakes.
