Still Running After All These Years
Model Year: 1979
I retired my ZTR after 4 years which was wore to a numb and and put our Kubota G3200 back in service. After setting for for 4 years I swapped the batteries, aired up the tires, warmed it up, hit the key and in true Kubota fashion it fired up. The old G mows as smooth as when it was new. After about 6 hours, the fuel pump had to be replaced cause wires shorted it out. Compared to my wife's new John Deere it is a little slow trimming since it is gear drive, but the little G mowed alone side the Deere acre after acre. The hour meter shows 644 but it is closer to 2644. Maybe in another 30 years or so we think about a replacement. This mower will be mowing about 7 acres a week alone side the Deere assuming it can keep up. If you can find one and need a project I would recommend it. In all the years we only replaced the blades, one rotor, the belt on the deck, and now the fuel pump. It is built like a tank compared to a new model Kubota, John Deere or any other brand (not sure about the new date it has been a long time).
Pros: Lasts forever.
Cons: No excuse for not mowing.
