FORD1000 Ford
Ford 2cyl Diesel
Model Year: 1970

My Ford 1000 works excellent for brush hogging, leveling, pulling trees, and hauling hay to the cattle. Can not find any real maintenance books on it, and parts are next to non-existent.

Pros: Easy to maintain, light and versatile.
Cons: Getting parts and manuals.

I am restoring a 1975 Ford 1000 tractor for the boarding facility/riding stable where my wife works. They use it for arena dragging and chores around the property.

FORD1000 Ford
Old ford 1000
Model Year: 1961

I got this tractor from a very old farmer who lived down the lane from me. His son said it was in the barn at least 20 years not used. I had to have my son pull it to my house with his ATV. I can say it is one heavy tractor not that light junk they sell now. I used it many years from mowing to snow plowing to tilling my garden. I became disabled in 2005 and not able to use it. I have ridden in a cart many times and that tractor would pull a house down. I also 2 Craftsman LT1000 and a 1991 Craftsman garden tractor. I also used the garden tractor for snow blowing.

Pros: Heavy great transmission; very reliable except mowing deck.
Cons: I and a few other owners have had the same deck problems.

FORD1000 Ford
Ford's First Compact Tractor
Model Year: 1975

I bought my Ford 1000 to clear about 3 acres to build my house. It was heavily wooded and I used to tractor to skid out about 350 trees to a chipper. When the house was built, I used the tractor with a York rake to put in a lawn. I had planned to sell the tractor after the house was done but ended up keeping it because it worked so well. I now use it to plow my driveway, rough mow a few acres, and other chores. I'm very happy with it.

Pros: Well built.
Cons: The after-market loader is the weakest part on it.

FORD1000 Ford
Ford Jubilee - Love at first sight
Model Year: 1953

I love my Ford Jubilee and had every intention of restoring the tractor to like new condition, but after owning the tractor for a few years I have realized this project will not be completed in my life time. The Ford Jubilee is the perfect cartoon picture of what a tractor should look like. I would keep it forever if my wife wasn't set on moving to Florida in a year or two.

Pros: Good tractor.
Cons: None.

an oldie but a goodie
Model Year: 1975

The only problem this tractor has is it's age. It is no longer supported by the manufacture which I think was bought out by New Holland. Not too many parts are available for it. It was made in Japan for Ford which could very well be the reason for the problem with parts. It however does work very well and does all I need it to do. It came with a belly mower that does a great job and every thing works as it should. I did just have to replace the alternator which I found at Grimm's Repair in Brenham TX #979-836-2521. Other than the parts issue, it's a great little tractor in the 25hp class. The three stars for value is because of the parts issue.

Pros: Works very well for it's size
Cons: Parts availability
