I'm new to TractorbyNet, but I wanted to share some thoughts on cold starts when attempting to start a Zetor 4300 series. 1. When temperatures are below 20 F, make sure your block heater is plugged in and working. 2. Have another 12V battery with at least 855 CCA and jump the main battery. It doesn't take too many attempts in starting a tractor in cold weather to deplete the main battery.

Pros: For Spring , Summer and Fall it's a dependable tractor for mowing and haying
Cons: Winter cold starts were definitely an issue until I followed the above procedure

I have found for the Zetor 4341 cold starts, that it's best to have an second battery attached in parallel with the main battery. The second battery should have at least a rating of CCA 850. Also, it really helps to have a block heater; especially when it get really cold.

Pros: It's a versatile tractor
Cons: You always need to pay close attention to cold weather, especially when the temperature goes below 20 F
