4035 Mahindra
4035 Poorly Built
Model Year: 2011

Mahindra knows how to market but these are not great tractors. There is good dealer support but the Mahindra company is hard to work with. They do NOT want to hear about your issues. It had three separate leaks at different times repaired under warranty, one required rear tire removal, and I fixed about four more. It has good features but is poorly engineered, especially the routing of hydraulic lines. There is an issue with the poor design with the valve controlling bucket stuck in the down position. The dealer was aware of issue and told me how to fix. The glow light will go out and not appear back on for months at a time (light bulb good). The four-wheel drive went out after about 20 hours. Luckily the dealer covered it. The hood latch release is weak/thin cable and it broke off. The tilt steering always works back to its highest position. It has hard starting issues every so many days and almost wears out battery before finally kicking over.

Pros: Heavy duty axle, features
Cons: Poorly designed, poor quality

Couldn't Be Happier!
Model Year: 2013

I've put it to work and had no issues. It's done everything I've asked of it. The only complaints I have are directed at the dealer. The front-end loader (pretty sure it was installed at the dealer) and the hydraulic hose routing were wrong per the manual (lot of rubbing) and the left pillar wasn't installed flush (only one of the four mounting bolts had the washer between the drive train and the pillar!). Lucky for me, I'm a little OCD, so I caught and corrected these on day one. Again, these are not Mahindra issues, but dealer issues instead. I have nothing but love for the tractor! The extra weight and mechanical front-wheel drive have made me fearless when it comes to getting stuck. While I feel I'm sitting high in the seat, I feel very stable on slopes (minimum pucker factor)! I kept the Industrial tires, had them fluid filled, and have had the loader spilling over with wet GA red clay (as well as creek gravel, slate, etc...). The back tires have never even offered to leave the ground. I love this tractor!!!

Pros: Stable, strong
Cons: None

Excellent machine so far. Some weird placement of items under the hood, but it seems like all other tractors of this size. Love the PST. Best of both worlds, standard tranny with power shift.

Pros: Starts easy, works hard, easy to maintain and use.
Cons: Lights on the ROPS take a beating (might just be me). FEL very strong, but takes a little getting used to on very heavy hay bails.

Hard Working Loader
Model Year: 2011

Purchased this beauty new in 2011. Some minor issues as with all new machinery. It's tough and reliable. Starts every time even on sub zero mornings. FEL with 4-in-1 bucket and forks. Mighty little tractor and I'm very impressed and would buy again without hesitation.

Pros: Reliable and easy to operate. Tough.
Cons: Some minor electrical connection problems.

I have had my Mahindra 4025 for a few years now and can not say enough good things about it. I only have two issues with the tractor. One is the lights on the roll bar. I think they should be moved to the inside. I do not take it in the woods but low limbs have broken them twice. The second would be the fuel tank cap. It is not the best design. For the rest of the tractor it makes work enjoyable. I liked mine so much I talked my dad into buying one also.

Pros: Tough, easy hook up, power, reliability, ease of operating.
Cons: Work lights, fuel cap.

PTO Won't Engage
Model Year: 2013

Reset button won't reset. The valve was replaced at 22 hrs. and now it is doing it again, same problem, was told no one else has this problem---ha.

Pros: Everything else works great.
Cons: Reset button on a PTO---are you kidding me? Designer should be dragged.

My 4035
Model Year: 2010

I have put my 4035 Mahindra to the test. I do not abuse my tractor but I do push it hard. I also follow all the dealers recommended PM policy. I feel the 4035 is a great tractor at a great price.

Pros: Quality and price.
Cons: Position of runnign lights and hood pull.

I am very pleased so far with my Mahindra. I haven't got to really work it yet but I have been messin' around with the loader I got with it. And I am very pleased with the ease of the controls and use of the tractor. I was looking at Kubotas in the same hp range as the 4035 by they really didn't even compare. And I still have my Kubota bx2350, I was really set on getting a Kubota till I ran across the 4035 and it sold me. It out weighs the Kubota and out lifts it and all 'n all you get more tractor for your money.

Pros: Larger tires, all metal extra heavy, lower cost.
Cons: Not as many close dealers.

I have been using my tractor for almost a year now and it has done everything I have asked. It pulls hard, works hard, and looks great. The only thing soft of this tractor is the ride. Only thing that I don't like is the Howse brush hog. It is not measuring up. I got it from the dealer also. The tractor has enough power to get you out of any trouble you are willing to get your self into.

Pros: Power, ride, price, versitility.
Cons: Howse brush hog.

Great tractor for the money!
Model Year: 2010

I bought the 4035 back in March of this year for $19,500. I have a little over a 100 hrs on it and it has been great. I use it for everything. It loads logs great on my sawmill. The only problem I had was a cable come loose on the joy stick for the loader. The dealer fixed it and had it back to me within an hour. I would buy again!

Pros: Strong, heavy, and wide.
Cons: Low resale; the cable on the loader joy stick.

4035 Mahindra
Mahindra 4035
Model Year: 2009

Bought the Mahindra 4035 tractor in Jan. 2010. I use it mostly to manage 250 acres of hunting property. I use it to bush hog, plant food plots and maintain dirt roads. I have added rear remote hydraulics, a front brush guard and a fiberglass sun shade. The brush guard was added after I broke the headlight out. I have about 100 hours on it now. I used it recently to grade down for a new garage. The tractor is very impressive, lots of power and user friendly. The part that bothers me most is how long it takes me to get parts. It took 6 weeks to get the rear remotes, 4 weeks to get the headlight assembly. Also, the online customer care is worthless. They do not have my model tractor or loader. The tractor is impressive but time to get parts, concerns me.

Pros: Lots of power, user friendly.
Cons: Paints coming off loader cylinders. Parts take a while to receive. Mahindras online 24/7 user care does not cover this model of tractor or loader--useless.
