1540 Massey Ferguson
1540 Power Shuttle
Model Year: 2007

I have not had any major problems with this tractor. A few small ones such as shift linkage adjustments and relocating the rear hydro line connections to clear the seat on my woods backhoe attachment. Overall it is a pretty good tractor. One problem is there are no aftermarket filters for the machine. A new hydraulic filter from the dealer costs 75 dollars which is a rip off. And the air filter is even more.

Pros: This is the only tractor I have owned so I would not know what to say.
Cons: No after market filters or parts.

Versatile Tractor
Model Year: 1998

This tractor is very good, 4X4 works good in the sand and soft dirt. I use it mostly for the backhoe attachment; also a 3 point box scraper and loader, also have a fork lift attachment for it.

Pros: Very reliable, low fuel consumption, easy to operate.
Cons: Parts can be hard to find on the aftermarket.

Good Tractor
Model Year: 2007

About the only negative I can see with this tractor is the hood and dash is somewhat flimsy, otherwise a good tractor.

Pros: None.
Cons: None.

I purchased this 4 wheel drive tractor to keep up about 10 acres of rolling land. I also purchased FEL, rotary mower, box blade, disk, and rear scoop. The tractor has easily done all I have required it to do. With 650 hours on it, the only thing that has went wrong with it is the fuel solenoid had to be replaced at 500 hours and now the hydraulic joystick block (dealer installed) is leaking fluid. Other than that, it has performed well. The narrow stance of the tractor allows me to get in between rows of planted pine trees to maintain the land.

Pros: Plenty of power for the size of tractor. Strong hydraulic system. Comfortable to drive for extended periods. Handles very well.
Cons: Sometimes I wish it had a wider stance for stability, but then I couldn't manuever it in the places that I need to.
