Yanmar error 03-0007907 _Model YT347

Hi,

Can anyone explain this error 03-0007907? The tractor starts up normal and does not code until I put it in drive, reverse or press the throttle.
The tractor has no hydraulics and does not travel.
Can anyone help?

03 is the indicator for a diagnostic trouble code that is detected by the transmission ECU. It has nothing to do with the DPF, as that code would begin with 00. This is for a deceleration sensor, multiple failure.

I spoke to a Yanmar dealer tech from California. He mentioned that this machine does not have that feature where it needs to be forced regen by a dealer. I also verified that by a dealer in Florida. Both mentioned that the codes are coming from the transmission sensors. It has three sensors. Two are the same part numbers. He gave me the two part numbers. I will start with that.

The dealer is not correct on this. The YT3 tractors have 5 stages of regeneration. The first stage happens automatically and is called self. The next is assist, and it also happens automatically but closes the intake valve slightly to create heat to burn soot. The third is called reset. When reset is called for the icon on the instrument cluster along with the initiate button will blink every 2 seconds. Press and keep working. It lasts for 20-30 minutes. The fourth is the last that the operator can perform and is called stationary. The yellow caution lamp along with the dpf icon on the instrument cluster will blink every second. A diagnostic trouble code of 00 00E87.16 will accompany this code. The last stage is recovery regeneration, which will be accompanied by the red warning indicator and a 00 00E87.16 and the regeneration icon on the instrument cluster.

Your problem has nothing to do with regeneration, it is a transmission error as noted by the 03 at the beginning of the code. Codes are in your operation manual in chapter 14. See the table here.
