How about 105 gallons of #2 off-road diesel?
For free.
My favorite price!
I answered a Craigslist add for a free heating oil tank. I want the tank for the steel, for a fabbing project.
Turned out to have about 100 gallons of nice clean heating oil in it. The filter was still in place, and we pumped it out into clean 55 gallon barrels. Filled both with about 5 gallons to spare in the second one. I watched it as it came out to make sure I wasn't pumping garbage. Toward the last it started getting just a tiny bit milky, but it was a nice clear red otherwise.
Got it home and took the filter off to drain what was left and got about 20 gallons of black stuff. Yech. I figure the sloshing around on the trip home washed the inside of the tank and stirred up a lot of old sludge. I won't be putting that in my tractor!
I'm going to rig a pump and filter setup to pump it into my tractor as needed. I'm thinking I won't be hauling 5 gallon cans for a while!
