Slow start this morning but afternoon not so, 5 trees cut up new brush pile made area rake clean lower front field,have to wait until dryer months to remove the wood,thought about setting on the deck until dark...naaa recliner to comfortable to leave.

I'm beat. Only got 4 off and 5 pieces down. first was the one to cut around the posts. Have not done the harder outside pieces. I'm working from the outside towards the house. Last piece will get ripped to 3" according to the math. So far I am right on my marks. Had one piece with a serious bend to it, will need clamps to pull it in. I skipped it for now. I had put fresh cut on the far side, then put in a straight edge to butt against for now. the end piece will leave the gap. Letting the other end run long, then will cut them later with a straight edge as a guide. piled the remaining new pieces on what I put down.

I worked from the house out, less than a 1/4” off by the time I got to the outside edge. There is a 1 1:4” overhang on the front so you would never see it unless you have a tape measure

Dennis, tough on the lower back by the end of the day as you will soon find out.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.6C and it's presently 20.7C, lightly overcast & calm.

PO, petrol and groceries run successful yesterday. I then got stuck into clearing low branches and limbing along/around my driveway. I made myself stop by 1530.

Today I have a couple of appointments to attend; the 'foot dude' @ 1130 to trim my toenails/heel calluses (type II diabetes) and a scheduled dental cleaning this arvo @ 1330. The dentist appt. is fortuitous as a week ago, I somehow chipped a tooth and it's periodically cutting into my lower lip. <girrr >

Thanks all, this is the second go round with this. Should be able to slow it down good enough for something else to get me further down the road.

Of course a super fun day today, I have an air handler in my crawl space that heats the bedroom wing of the house. The motor went out last week so I ordered a new Marathon 1/3hp capacitor start capacitor run. Should have been a quality motor. NOPE crawled into it and pulled the old motor and got the pulley off of it and on the new one. Wired up the new one, of course the old one used wire nuts and the new one 1/4" flag terminals. So crawl back out get some flag terminals and crimping pliers, crawl back in, wire it up, crawl back out and nothing. What the he!! so start checking for voltage all good, swapped L1 and L2 still no go. Dam* bad motor, so disconnect and crawl back out with it.
My 73 year old carcass doesn't do the crawling near as good as when I was 50 or even 60, especially about the 4 and 5th times back into. Did order some new knee pads tonight along with a split phase motor, cheaper and should last as long as I do.

Coffee is brewing. 31° with light snow this morning. Heading to 38° with mix of rain and snow. Got neighbors new mailbox up yesterday. Top off bird feeders. Then did some conserving of energy rest of the day. Off to grocery shopping in the morning. Then see what I can find to do after that.
