Here's a popular video from my channel about common tractor mistakes owners make. This video dives into some common pitfalls that tractor owners encounter... some common sense and others easy to overlook.

Here's a brief overview of some of the mistakes I covered in the video:

Properly Securing Your Tractor: It's essential to keep your tractor secure. Many tractor owners neglect this and unfortunately end up having their equipment stolen. Tractors are valuable assets and easy targets if not properly secured.

Maintenance Schedule: Just like any vehicle, tractors require regular maintenance to keep them running smoothly and efficiently. A lack of preventative maintenance can lead to more serious problems down the road.

Choosing the Right Tires and Proper Tire Maintenance: Tires play a vital role in your tractor's performance. It's important to choose the right type for your specific needs and to keep them well-maintained.

Correct Use of Equipment and Accessories: Misusing or incorrectly installing equipment and accessories can lead to damage and accidents. Always take the time to learn about the correct usage and installation procedures.

Making Secure Hydraulic Connections: Hydraulic connections must be made completely and securely. Not doing so can lead to malfunctions and potential safety hazards.

Getting the Right Tractor the First Time: To avoid the costly process of trading in or up, it's crucial to purchase the right tractor for your specific needs right from the start.

Avoiding Modifications, Especially to the Rollover Protection System (ROPS): Modifying your ROPS can lead to safety concerns, liability issues, and premature failure of the system.

Proper Storage and Awareness of Hydraulic Leak-Down: Hydraulics will leak down over time, regardless of the tractor's manufacturer. If you're storing your loader or backhoe in the lifted position, be aware of this and take necessary precautions.

So, what else should we watch out for?
