What I do not know about electricity will fill volumns and volumns.
Frankly, I am absolutely horrible at it. I just don't savvy...sad it is.
Are there any 12Volt guys here w/ a BX25 interested in getting more
electrical power out of their BX25 (or) that can advise me?

I have been thinking about it for a while and the first obstickle I
foresee that needs a solution is the physical mounting of the alternator itself.
Getting into bracketry changes can be done but I hope for a bolt-in plugNplay
solution. I MAY BE ON TO SOMETHING.

Putting 2 and 2 together I fell upon a 60AMP Alternator (the BX25 is 40 AMP)
that has the exact same front case as the BX25. Many other components are
the same. I think the rear of the case is different, if it is a different plug there
is another solution needed which may be as easy as a pigtail, just make a
M4800SU-F to BX25 PigTail Adaptor perhaps?

So the other tractor, and there may be more solutions but my brain can
only multitask and process so much info at a time, the other tractor is
the M4800SU-F. Here is a side x side exploded view analysis of the component
parts for their alternators. You see the front half of the case is the same!

What else needs to be considered in such an upgrade? I imagine it might
be wise to switch to the battery as recommended for the M4800SU-F which
I believe will not pose any fabrication needs, I think it will slip right in, although
I need to verify.

I think there are voltage regulators to be considered, but are the regulators
not internally mounted within these units?

What else must one consider? Will wire size be a huge issue?

And I guess if this were a swap in plugNplay unit what is the, perhaps,
Mitubishi or other? Mfg's part number for the same unit because
Kubota is INSANELY expensive for their Alternators! The prices
are NUTZ!

TIA!

Here are the links to see both alternator exploded views;

BX25 NOTE;YOU MUST OPEN
UP THE "ENGINE" FOLDER THEN LOOK FOR SECTION 140300 ALTERNATOR (COMPONENET PARTS) the link is not playing ball.

Differences;

There are two different alternators available for THE M4800SU-F, one for the BX25.

The BX25 pulley is called a PULLEY,DYNAMO, the M4800SU-F pulley is called PULLEY,ALTERNATOR, they are different part numbers, I wonder if you can take the pulley off the BX25 and put it on the M4800SU-F's alternator? bet ya can...

The BX25 has a Thrust Washer, the M4800SU-F does not at the rear inside.

They have different "Frame Ends" yet they are held together w/ the same bolt.

They have different cover ends.

They both show 2 part numbers (they are alike on both) for one part, #160 ASSY RECTIFIER.

They have different ASSY REGULATORs, the BX25 shows one part number and the M4800SU-F shows 2 part numbers.

where theres a will theres a way i know i can get the alternator upgrade for my B localy. i crossed the part numbers off a pic here on TBN from a alt. upgrade some one did on their B2620. It was a Denso part number so i called around to area retailers and they can get the alt. for about 120bucks. Now i would still need to buy a pulley from kubota. i dont think the dynmo setup for attaching the belt would work on the new alter. :2cents:

Here are pics of the BX25's Alternator and Plug ends.

I would LOVE to see the same pics from a M4800SU-F

The Nuts in front of the pulley(s) and the collars behind the pulley(s) are the same
part numbers, so are the same part number is the Rotor assemblys for both tractors
which contains the shaft that the nuts, pulleys, collars and Front Drive
End Assemby Frame connect to!!!
So that means the pulleys MUST be interchangable between tractors!

The M4800SU-F, M4800SUD-F, M4900 , M4900DT, M4900SU, M4900SUDT, M5640SU, M5640SUD, M5700, M5700DT, M5700DTM,M5700HD all share the same Alternators...(well, there are two possible alternators, must will take either the 3A011-74013 or teh 3A011-74012, a couple only take one.
The point is anyone who has one of the listed tractors, can I have some pictures similar to what I did above? The plug and pulley and ????

What is the Denso part # from the tag on your alternator , you should only need 2 parts to upgrade your alt to 60a , windings (part "a" in the bx25 pic) and the rectifier bridge. There is typically only 1 rotor per frame size and the voltage regulator is not amperage dependent. The 3 wire plug will be fine , the single wire from the 10mm stud will need to be at least #6, I believe this runs from the 10mm stud down to the starter where it joins up with the main battery cable or it may go to the positive terminal , not familiar with BX25 wiring.

Ray I guess I should say that 60AMP would be great but if that frame
will support larger that might be cool too. Here is a picture of the tag
on my alternator. So are you saying it would be better to rebuild mine?
