- Branson 4720h
Hello all, new used Branson owner here and so far not the best experience for my first tractor. Was told that it’s a 2015 4720h. Plate on valve cover of engine is stamped with a manufacture date of 8/22/2014 and the tractors serial number is CLKD00087. I was told by a dealer that his TYM rep indicated that serial number comes back as a 2009 model (something that the “C” indicates). Would anyone be able to provide any insight on to what year I actually have? I am leaning towards a 2014 due to the engine stamping and thinking that the TYM rep is mistaken? The loader controls are next to the steering wheel and not integrated into the right fender as I have been led to believe from internet research that was a 2015 model change.
Also I have lots of white smoke coming from the exhaust that dissipates once the engine is warmed up. I was originally told when I purchased it was due to the regen system (just the DPF filter) but that since has been deleted and it’s still having the same issue of lots of white smoke that smells sweet until the engine is warm, which is leading me to believe the tractor has a blown head gasket. Does anyone have a machine/head shop near southeastern Michigan that they could recommend to get the head inspected?
Where is everyone ordering parts such as gasket kits for these tractors?
Sorry for the lengthy post and thanks for any info that anyone can provide.
