Have been wanting another mower to replace/backup my 2006 Cub Cadet GT1554.
Unknown hours since the digital meter failed years ago. Guess is at least 900+, likely much more.
It's been a fantastic mower and no complaints (other than the known steering issues for this model).
New riding mowers are insanely expensive now. Almost $5k to get something comparable to the GT1554.
My brother just paid over $10k for a Ferris. Different class of mower I know, but no thanks.
Was web searching and found locally a 2007 GT1554 with only 21.1 hours on it.
It was garage kept and looks brand new, minus the light scrape marks on the deck side and the plastic chute had a very small tear at the hinge.
Mower was just serviced, including new battery, before she listed it and it included factory tire weights and tire chains.
Starts right up and it was even full of fuel.
Everything works and belts/Tires look good.
I wasn't looking for another GT1554, but grabbed it as soon as I saw it.
First thing I did was add SeaFoam to fuel and install a mechanical hour meter on the dash panel.
Not sure if she used blended fuel, but I will run pure gasoline from now on.
Best part, I don't have to stock parts for a different model/brand mower!
Will post pics soon
