I have watched many videos on yanmar from PR Equipment. I called them to ask about the crazy insurance rates and he said that is the norm for yanmar due to who they use for financing. The people at PR were amicable and spoke with me for a long time about that and the tractor.
Talk is cheep is it not?

Isn't it the insurance that drives the Kubota "No Interest" financing?

I'm not sure about Kubota, but I am paying 3.99 on top of a decent down payment.

That isn’t a good deal, in fact, that insurance quote is legal robbery.
Get the financing elsewhere with your own insurance or go to another brand.
Most all mfg are offering good rates.
Except Yanmar?

Kubota insurance was about $230+/- a year (covers the tractor). Progressive insurance was quoted to me at $75/year, covers anything I accidentally destroy or damage with the tractor.

$10,000 a year is an absolute, total ripoff.

@Yander @Williy and all the other new Yanmar owners here, what was your purchase experience like?

I had insurance from Chubb for my MF27056E which was $275/year. A couple of months ago I was whining to my homeowner's insurance broker that our rates were too high and when we went over the details I learned that the policy covers the tractor (and solar) as well. The point is; check with your homeowner's insurance. You might already be paying for coverage.

I insured mine when I bought my JD through State Farm. I can’t remember how much but something around $200 a year. The JD insurance was about the same. It’s paid off I’m thinking of dropping it.

My dealer gave me a fair quote for the YT235 tractor, loader with 3rd function, and 2 rear remotes. it took couple of weeks for hydraulic parts to be delivered and installed. They did a nice job, and it was ready to load when we showed up with the trailer. Never dawned on me to insure the tractor through the dealer or Yanmar. The dealer is 2 1/2 hours away in Carbondale PA, but they had the unit I wanted and would install the upgrades. The only thing I have done is tidy up the loader hose routing to make checking the oil easier…no make that…possible.
