Non-liberals believe the media is controlled by a bunch of socialists who are trying to subvert (and destroy) the country from within.

The media darling of Wisconsin, Tommy Thompson, ex multi-year govenor, now Bush cabinet man, supported building multiple million dollar sports stadiums (guesstimate one billion dollars,) on the taxpayers back for the Brewers and the Packers. George W. Bush did the same to the Texas folks with the private baseball stadium. The media loves this because the sports business is a big part of their business.
True Americans know this is socialism and wrong for tax dollars to fund private business.

you'll get no argument from me on that one .... enforced subsidization of sports teams freaks me out big time.
Last time I was in Houston I really choked on seeing the extra tax on my car rental bill for some sports stadium or other. it was about 12% or so.
Bad enough to tax residents to pay for something like that .... absolutely EVIL to tax people who cannot possibly benefit from it.
