After snow blowing at night I realized that the lights work pretty well on the front but there is no light what so ever behind the tractor. So the other day I ordered some lights from the place I order parts for my Case Backhoe. The lights are made by Hobbs. They are a extra wide angle short through light.
There are three connectors behind the seat that are tied into the key and go through the work light fuse (10a). I'm wondering where people have mounted the switches who've already added lights. Since the lights draw 4 amps each my plan is to have three switches so only two lights can be on at any time to stay under the limit of the 10 amp fuse.
The best place I found so far is behind the HST range and cruse control levers. But that would mean they face up and any rain or snow that falls on them would seep down into the switches. I did find some rubber sealed switches that should work fine but like I said I would like to know where others have chosen to locate them. I looked at the lower cowl below the steering wheel but I think my knees would hit them.
Also does anyone know where or who sells a connector that will just plug into the factory connector? I remember years ago seeing connectors like that on some cars and trucks, it's a pretty generic style.
