I have a 1720 SSS and RM 59-3 mower which uses a Kevlar belt that is 150" long. The belt runs a torturous path over a bull wheel 2 idlers and three blade spindles with numerous twists/flips.
I have replaced the belt at least 5 times in the past 12 years and it is not used commercially. Is this typical?
I corrected several problems such as insufficient belt clearance past guides and access holes. I also remove the belt each spring and clean the rust off pulleys prior to operation.
I recently purchased 2 new PIX belts that are made in India for $39.00 each.
Any feedback on these belts??
