Just broke the bucket on my BH9000. I am torn what to do. Looks like a replacement from woods is nearly a grand, plus you need a bushing kit because that specific bucket is obsolete, plus shipping......Seems like a lot. Anyone know of any other buckets that fit or is this unique? I am weighing these options:
1. Pay $1100 for the new bucket
2. Weld the bucket. I t broke a few inches above the teeth, very high stress area of course. Might hold up with some additional plating across the break.
3. Buy another used BH9000 for $4500. I kinda wouldnt mind having a parts backhoe, could really pay off down the road.
4. Sell this and buy a complete new unit.
I mean I trust woods stuff quite a bit, but this is 25 years old and has had a pretty hard life. I hate to put $1100 into it and have say the dipper crack next year, thats why I am reluctant to go with #1.....
