Just broke the bucket on my BH9000. I am torn what to do. Looks like a replacement from woods is nearly a grand, plus you need a bushing kit because that specific bucket is obsolete, plus shipping......Seems like a lot. Anyone know of any other buckets that fit or is this unique? I am weighing these options:

1. Pay $1100 for the new bucket
2. Weld the bucket. I t broke a few inches above the teeth, very high stress area of course. Might hold up with some additional plating across the break.
3. Buy another used BH9000 for $4500. I kinda wouldnt mind having a parts backhoe, could really pay off down the road.
4. Sell this and buy a complete new unit.

I mean I trust woods stuff quite a bit, but this is 25 years old and has had a pretty hard life. I hate to put $1100 into it and have say the dipper crack next year, thats why I am reluctant to go with #1.....

I may be selling my Woods BH90X soon as I cannot get a subframe mount for my Mahindra I just bought and I don't want to 3 point hitch mount it. The 90X took the place of the 9000 and I believe the difference is it has the curved boom. It has probably 100 hours of use and has a subframe mount for any Branson 20 series tractor. It should mount right up to your subframe on your tractor if that is what you are using. You'dhave to double check with Woods on that but any time I have called them they have been very helpful and knew the answers to my questions.
