You definitely know your stuff . It is the pleasantry of your delivery that makes your responds so soothing .

It's frustrating when folks take things they know about tractors they are familiar with and assume that tractors they have no experience with are built using the same ideas, sometimes 50 or 60 years later.
And it happens here all too often.

Has anyone ever seen a diesel tractor with "reserve" fuel supply? I haven't, but that really doesn't say much. Reserve worked with the old gas engines but if a diesel runs out of fuel you're likely to have other things to take care of besides fetching a can of fuel.

On a fuel tank with a reserve it would seem that if you hadn't used the reserve for several years the reserve pipe could get plugged up becasuse of no flow thru it. I think I remember this happening on the old Fords and Fergusons.

Being the reserve tap is the lowest in the tank, any rust or sediment will plug it first.

It would interesting for someone to post the brands/models of diesel tractors with a built in fuel reserve if indeed there are such a tractor in existence!
