Who really makes what?

Everybody seem to make engines for different manufactures Mitsubishi, Kubota, Shibaura, Yanmar, cat, Cummins, heck even ford did back in the day the 4 cylinder 134 - 172 I think they called it the red tiger engine was in lots of different things the most common was water pumps.

Its hard to really definitively know, but Kubota appears to be the most pure of most of the tractor companies.

Thats what i heard and investigated as much as i could before I bought one, but im sure nothing is 100% in this world now.

If Kubota is in fact the purest, I wonder what the most unpurest ones would be?
