I am in the early stages of planning on a replacement baler. Currently have a 2003 model Vermeer Rebel, zero bells and whistles, but also very economical and dependable. Right now at 250 + acres per cutting, hoping to increase to bale continuously all summer.
I guessing should have started with the statement that I do small time custom baling.
I have all major American brands available and like all the dealers. New holland ,Vermeer, and John Deere are my preferred brands. Each have there perks and problems. Just wanted to hear some fresh opinions on the subject, I have burnt my brain on it right now.

Have worked for a hay contractor and done 500 rounds with a New Holland baler BR 7060 I Believe, was a great machine had 20,000 rolls on the clock, It made a nice and neat bale if you didn't ram it in when you started a bale. Computer was simple and easy to use, pickup didn't block up too readily. Ran it on a TS 120 tractor.

In my opinion you already have the right brand, you just need to step up to a M series. I have used most of the major brands and my favorite hands down is my Vermeer. I'm not going to bad mouth any of the others accept for M&W which was my biggest equipment mistake.

If I was looking to replace mine today it would be a Vermeer.

I really like my Vermeer , it's very dependable, simple as it gets and makes a decent bale. I just don't have any experience with new model balers, and was more curios if somebody has some awesome new features I wouldn't want to miss out on.
