found this topic amusing... funny how quicklly many see this breed of bird as pest 1st /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif then just a bird.... i would typically consider such as them a pest... skyrats all of them /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, I also include segulls in that class.... stupid bird... I would not , like anyone here, go out of my way to hurt them though... I figure they have as much right as me to be here... as long as they don't pester me or mine... i won't pester them back..!/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Which I think is they way , most folks I know are about them... Besides when the last time you had flock of them hanging around in the yard in the country... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif one more great reason to have lots of HAWKS as nieghbors... (counted as many as 15 hawks flying over the pasture this summer at one time)... beutifull sight.... some of then not more than 50feet off the ground.... Seems they realy appreciate me mowing the pasture... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

got a few folk that would thank you plenty though, 4 thinning out the crow population around here.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, the saga continues. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gifI grabbed Boyd the Bird. Turns out he belongs to a guy in Frankenmuth, no, not stien, michigan. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Got his name and outfit from 911Pigeon rescue. Called his house but he wasn't home. Wound up emailing him. Sure hope he wants his bird back. The only other bird I ever rescued was a full grown Mute Swan a couple years ago. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifThat's another story though. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now you're in for it!!!
"we" have two, one came as part of the package (some spouses come with kids, others pets), the other I saw on a snowy night as it tumbled down through some tree branches till it hit the ground. Dummy me goes over and picks it up.
Me: something must be wrong with it if it falls to the ground and I can just pick it up.
She: Let's bring it home, Mr. Peepers (pigeon #1) can have a friend!
And so it goes, on and on...
They live a long time, #1 is over 15, maybe older, #2 "we've" had for at least 5 years.
I have a great idea! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
"you're" bird might get lonely, it needs two friends!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

shvl; I've got a better idea, I'll send the one I got to you. You've already got a decent start on a flock, herd, pod, whatever! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
