What is the value of a pressure relief valve integrated into a multi spool DCV?

Just a question when adding remote hydraulic circuits through a multi spool direction control valve including power beyond to the three point lift.

Most multi spool valves offered include a pressure relief valve built in and usually adjustable up to maximum valve rating (Though there are some valves offered with much lower range settings such as 200<1000psi)

For a "typical" addition of remote hydraulic taps (front or rear) does an additional pressure relief valve, in addition to the tractor's fully functioning relief valve offer any benefits or advantages?

At first pass, the spool valves PR is just something to adjust back UP to tractor system pressure if one wants to see full capacity at the 3 point.

Are there other "features" to provide?

Not usually.

Note that some tractors (e.g. Kioti/Bobcat) delete the OEM system RV when you
add a FEL valve with its own RV. Then, if you add the OEM AUX valves, you still rely on the
RV in the FEL (only).

When you buy a 3rd-party spool valve for your tractor, you will usually have an
RV built in cuz the maker does not know what the valve is going into, and you
have to have at least one RV in an open-center system.

The valves downstream of your AUX valves in your typical tractor setup (3-pt valve)
will be limited by the lower of any upstream RVs. If you are using implements
with your AUX valves that can take only, say 2000 psi, and your tractor puts out
2500psi, then you may want to set your FEL valve's RV at 2500, and your AUX's
RV at 2000. Even if that limits your 3-pt to only 2000psi, as you say.

My 2012 M7040 which came with a FEL & Cab has two relief valves by design much to my initial confusion.

The FEL relief valve if set too low affects the highest pressure available for the 3 pt and rear remotes even though they have their own relief valve.

I think the designer are trying to get rid of any pressure spikes as soon as possible before it gets back into the system.
