Here is a pic of my RTV pulling 9000 pounds. On a 3000 pound trailer is right at a 6000 pound shed. This is an old junk shed that I have had in my woods for years. I decided I wanted it gone and a neighbor really wanted it if I could get it out of the woods. Loading it was no fun at all, the stupid thing has heavy gauge steel siding on 2X6 walls with sheet rock interior. It needs some help in a bad way, but it is very heavy!!

I only had to cheat and use my winch to make it up one fairly steep incline. The 'ole RTV was spinning the tires, but I was going backwards. I ran the winch cable out and on to a tree on up the hill and was able to winch myself right out of the woods. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I can't seem to find my manual, but isn't the RTV rated to tow 9000 pounds? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I really don't believe any ATV built could have handled this task! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I would say that is NOT 9000 lbs. I know that my rtv pulled a 3200 trailer up a hill and had a lil trouble. but did it.. I know that a trailer 3 times it weight it would not be able to pull. no way.. I love thr RTV but I say no way.. The tongue weight would be probably 5 times the rating.. I know the tongue weight is rated at 100 lbs and my 3200 trailer is 175 lbs..

Id say that is more like 4000 total.. Dont forget that a good sized car.. Heres something to think about. My wifes Suzuki XL7 7 passenger 4wd suv can only pull 3000 lbs.. At least that whats it rated at:)

I don't take your doubting as an insult, but that is really what it is. I have weighed the trailer several times when buying large landscape rocks etc., so I know it's empty weight is 3050 pounds. The front loader on a L5030HSTC will easily lift 2500 pounds a couple of feet off of the ground, especially when you use the curl as well as the lift arms. Sort of maximizing the "breakout" power. Anyway, the tractor would not come close to picking up even one corner of the building. The trailer is rated to hold 8000 pounds total; two 4K axles under it. Both sets of springs are totally bottomed out and I had to put 60 psi air in 40 max psi tires to keep them from being totally flat with the weight.

I've hauled a lot of heavy equipment, and I have an 8000 pound capacity forklift in my barn. So, not to bore you with other reasons, the 'ole RTV is indeed pulling right at 9000 pounds! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Now that this is posted, I probably just voided my warranty. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Oh well, I just thought it was extremely impressive what it hauled! I could not get my tractor or truck to where I had to remove it. As I said, I did have to cheat and use the winch to get up one incline, but otherwise the 'bota held it's own. Based on cranking up the jack on the trailer to get it off once I got to my driveway, I'd say that I had well over 500 pounds of tongue weight on it too! I sure wouldn't want to have to try to stop that load going down any hill! I don't think that would have worked. There were no down hill sections.

But, really, it pulled that amount of weight!! What impressed me more was that it pulled it across the yard that was somewhat soft; meaning that it had a fairly high rolling resistance. It was much easier to pull when I got it on concrete! Give it a shot once! Those Bighorn Radials did their job and were really grabbing too! I have a foot of snow supposedly coming tonight. I intend to use the RTV quite a bit tomorrow, but with easier work! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's one heavy load... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

OK, you have to tell us. How did you get the building on the trailer?

On loading it, we only had to make one trip to the hospital. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif It was no easy feat. Suffice it to say, you are correct in figuring it wasn't easy! Lots of help and several winches and lots of jacks! Now with all this snow, I can't get it delivered and off of my trailer! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Hey Jippy, what's the deal? I have a little over 20" of snow on the ground and my RTV won't go through it to pull a sled for my kids! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif My Rhino will go through it! Okay, the Rhino will go through it, but just barely. (It also has 27" Bighorn Radials on it) I can go about 20 feet at a time. I have to then back up about 10 feet, then dart ahead and blast another 20 feet or so and keep up that pattern until I get to where I've plowed. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
