What is the best way to determine if TBN is down?

One site I used to visit that went down and never came back up. I finally read in another forum that it had been hacked. It appears that the site owner just gave up.

yeah, I've been on a few of those before, hopefully, it won't happen here, you just need a full recent backup of the site..

I have in the past had web sites become inaccessible due to something stored in the cookies on my system becoming corrupted. I could tell because at that time I was running two systems and could get to the site with one system but not the other. The fix required clearing of the cookies, which was a pain.

Last month I had that happen for the first time ever. We have Spectrum TV/telephone/Internet service and for a couple of weeks, I could not log in to my account. All the other websites worked just fine. When I got an email that my bill was available and I still could not log in to their website, I called and a very pleasant young lady had me clear the cookies and everything worked just fine.

I've had to clear cookies several other times and Microsux with Windows seems to slightly change where the cookies are stored in the bowels. And what cookies need to be cleared?
I'd hate to clear cookies and have to start all over.

After switching between cellular connection and WiFi and both loading other sites fine and then switching from my phone to a laptop I concluded the site must be down. I do wish they could flash a down for repairs banner or something better than just the loading circle thing.

We're having actual hardware issues. So when it goes down, the server itself is crashed and waiting to be rebooted. But we're working on it to fix it.
