I致e got a 20gal northern tool tank sprayer with wand now. 1.5gpm pump.

I致e seen where you can get a single fan nozzle that will spray 10-15? this eliminating the need for a boom. I only have 5 acres of 2-4-D to spray.

Any links to what I need to buy or what nozzle I need to do this?

2 ways to do it . a T off of pump with 2 cut off valves to switch between wand and nozzle tip. or take wand off and just use that line for boomless, you will need to devise a stand to put your boomless nozzle on . I like mine about 6' off the ground in the back of my utv. I will try and find the part number for a tjet nozzle i bought from agspray a few years ago . It does an excellent job and i get about 15' coverage

That’s going to take some time. If you’re wanting 20gpa with a 1.5 gpm pump your spray with will be very narrow and keeping track of what you’ve done isn’t going to be easy. See if someone around you sprays and can do it. Keep your tank for spot spraying.

You are going to need a bigger tank and definitely a higher flow pump for that or it will take forever. The sprayer I use on my ATV has a 1.5 gpm pump and there is no way it could push enough to support a 10 to 15 foot fan.

Yeah, that is going to take a while. I have a homemade 12 foot boom sprayer that runs off my pto. At 40 psi, running 1500 rpms and in 4th gear in medium range it takes over an hour probably to do one of my 5 acre fields. Did it just last night. I put 80 gallons of water in the tank.

With my 100 gallon sprayer in my utv I can average 10 acres per hr at 20gpa and 20’ boom. I’m running gps and that speeds things up a bunch. Whatever you do, I’m sure you’ll be happy with the results

Brett, I'm interested in what and how you are using gps. Thanks

I bought a raven cr7. I have it set to my boom width and wired into my boom control box. When I turn it on, it will begin painting what I致e done and figure the next path along the A/B line. Works great and helps me accurately determine how large the fields I spray are.

Here’s my sprayer running off of a 12 V battery. It uses a T jet head from Tractor Supply. I’ll try to find the part number. I do remember it was about $100. Works great. It covers about 30 feet. I can spray 275 gallons in a few hours. IMG_0906.JPGIMG_0905.JPG
