I was wondering if you can just unbolt the cutting edge on the KK subsoiler and bolt the furrower part of a KK middle buster to it? I have a KK subsoiler and my local tsc doesn't carry the middle buster when i went to look and don't see giving ~$100 more for a $10 part any one ever looked? or ideas on how to make it turn over the soil to make a drainage trench

also has anyone got a KK plow to work or another brand of 1 bottom plow? I've used 2 and neither seem to work always torquing the tractor to the left or right one with the plow adjusted all the way one side or other to adjust for the torque of plowing

Shady,

The Northern Tool catalog shows a Howse unit that's just what you describe. You might want to take a look at that to see how it's done. Your idea certainly sounds like a neat, do-able project to me. Let us know how it goes and post some pic's of it when you're done. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I bought a kk MB and added 8" to the back bone. I have 3 different blades for it and all work fine for the applied application. In short - save your money and just get the different blades. Here's a picture.

I have, although getting the right plow has been a problem. I had one that folded up and had to be beaten off the implement with a sledge. But then, I'm always buying bargain priced stuff. You'd think at my age I'd know better. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I bought the Subsoiler and now wish i had something to turn the soil over and have a open trench the subsoiler tends to just push up the soil leaving about an 1-2" hole...

Looking at prices the furrower bit from howse was $57 while KK has yet to get back with me at that i'll weld a piece or something a brand new KK MB is $89 last time i looked.. any idea on where i need to add these additions to the actual cutting edge $3.20 or on the actual beam?

My papaw did the same thing to make a potato or tator plow which is kinda tooo big for my tractor it lugged down a 50 or 60hp tractor i think what it is huge 4wd agco it looks more like a ripper on a D10
