Took my front tractor wheel in yesterday to get it fixed. I had this one fixed before and they put a tube in it. Told them I wanted no tube unless there was some specific reason for doing so. The man that owns the shop just about everyone around here runs tubes.
What is advantage or disadvantage of each and what do ya'll do?

On my 3560, I had one front tire that struggled to hold air. The tractor was new, when I reached out to the dealer, he recommended that they would put in a tube. I did not care for that idea, but after numerous times of the tire going flat, cleaning the rim and tire, using rim seal and changing the valve stem all with out fixing the problem, I assumed I had some defect with the rim. Installed a tube which failed soon after. I installed a new tube, so far so good.

Within a few hours of owning my new tractor, was cleaning up old debris and ran over a 2x4 with 4 nails... I used slime and it worked somewhat (had to add air every few months). Finally, years later, took the tire to a tire shop and they put a tube in for $16... I still have not had to add any air to that tire.

Other tire with no punctures been leaking a little but I'll be due for a new front set of tires before long... I'll deal with adding air for a while.

Bottom line for me, Tubes worked fine.

What is the disadvantage of putting a tube in a tractor tire?
I always thought the running tubes in a tubless tire would create additional heat and friction, not good on a high speed car or cycle. But on a slow speed tractor, I am not to concerned with that. I think in my case, there was some slippage between the tire and rim as the stem had a cut where it is attached to the tube. I have since increased the tire pressure and it seams to be holding. I use the front end loader quite a bit so higher pressure helps with that. Side note, I keep two spare tubes on the shelf just in case!

If you ever have a high drive torque low tube/tire pressure moment, you run the risk of the tire rotating a bit on the rim, slicing open your tube’s valve stem. Not a high probability as long as you don’t run really low pressure, but it’s a potential drawback.
Also, a damaged valve stem from hitting something, will likely need a somewhat expensive tube replacement, instead of just an inexpensive valve stem replacement
