I decided to hook up the bush hog today on the back of the MF35 and test it out in the fields to see whether or not it was a wise purchase.

It was going great, I was chewing up and spitting out all the 5' long grass, saplings and such.

I've taken this route a couple times the few days, just because I was kind of
getting used to how the tractor (my first) would handle the property.

On the way out of the same path I took in and then it happened, my tires were buried half-way. The ground was more water than mud in that location, even though it's a high point.

After about an hour of trying to get her out by putting large rocks, gravel
and long grass to try to both give a footing and support to the tires, I finally gave up, she was sitting on her frame.

So, I took the eventual walk, right down to my neighbor who loves and collects Belarus tractors, if he could do me a favour :) He was more than
willing and we got it out.

There really isn't a point to this story beyond, I think I'm going to need to get myself a winch.

It's going to happen again, be warned. I've been stuck pretty good more than once and still certain forbidden parts of the farm call me "come drive here, it'll be ok..."

Hint:
Staying out of wet and muddy areas will keep you from getting stuck, and will make for nicer looking areas without deep tracks in them. :)

Then again, if mudding is what you like to do, then get the winch. :D

We don't have any wet spots here. rain has been very scarce. I can hardly see the paint on the tiller or tractor for the dust.Jy.

Make sure to stay on good terms with the neighbor and all will be well.
