Tractor
JD ehydro 4120
At last I am a JD Tractor owner. No loader yet--dealer hasn't received Long 4-in-1 bucket--but I went ahead and took delivery of the 4120, MX6, and Landpride FDR1672 RFM.

I've posted a photo here of the tractor and MX6. It had just stopped raining long enough to take it for spin on the driveway. Stayed out of the pastures since ground is very soft. Boy, this thing is smooth. Love the auto cruise control.

Thanks to all who helped me in my search. I'll post a photo after loader and bucket are on and after I have spent some time using everything. I am in tractor heaven....

One more photo. Tractor is a little far away in first photo.

I really liked the first pic...love to get a copy of that full sized!

Anyway, I'm sure you'll be a happy camper with that new Deere! The cutter is rock solid and I think you'll find Land Pride to be a very durable mower...I know their cutters are!

Now, time for you to update your profile!

How's that 4120 handle the MX6? I was just wondering because I was looking at a 4320 to handle a 6' rotary cutter.

Also, does the MX6 leave a clean cut or does it look like a standard brush hog cut? ie:Like when my wife tries to trim our dogs. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Beautiful machine. Congratulations. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thanks to everyone for your comments. Ask my wife, I've been on that tractor practically full time since I got home from work yesterday. Even left early. All that long grass in the background on the right of the first photo is now nicely mown along with a lot more. Decided to definitely not bushhog in the dark, but I was tempted.

Roy--send me a private message with an email address or tell me how and I'll be glad to send you a full size version of the first photo. My old Cub Cadet is moping around now that there's a new baby on the farm. I took her photo too to make her feel better.

Dave--as to the MX6, except for the lightness of the front end, you hardly know it's back there. I cut some very thick and 3' tall pasture grass yesterday and it cut like butter. In that grass, it of course left a mat of clippings, but where I cut in shorter grass it pretty much looks like it was mowed. Probably after a day or two, you won't be able to tell it wasn't. Not sure I really needed a finish mower, but it's paid for and delivered, so I guess I'll keep it. The front end lightness is not anything I'm worried about, you just have to be judicious with the acceleration and not punch it. I'll probably have the loader on most of the time, so the lightness will go away. Front weights would easily eliminate it too, but it's not enough that I'll probably do anything about. If I were using the MX 6 on a smaller frame CUT, I'd definitely want front weights. I've been keeping most of the weight of the cutter on the 3 pt. hitch to keep from digging up the soft ground. I just thought: maybe I should be letting the cutter rest on the ground in the front? (It didn't come with a manual.) Maybe someone could comment.

Thanks again everyone. I'm headed back outside....
