I'm getting R4's and a horizontal exhaust (for exactly this reason, i can see me whacking that exhaust off getting close to a tree :( )

thanks to all.

I have 16.9x30 R1's on my TN75D with vertical eshaust and there is no way it will fit under a 8' door. I'm not near it to measure, but I'd go 10'.

Won't the horizontal exhaust put more fumes in the cockpit?

Don't mean to ruin your hopes, I think we've all been there one time or another. You might try a custom made nine foot and you will have some extra clearance. Not for nothing but a tire change from one make to another even the same size might make enough of a difference to hit! Or a stray stone or piece of 2 by four or a foot of snow outside the door.

I am building a new storage building(garage) myself and going with 12 foot high doors minimum. I think 14 feet wide. I wonder how much those babies will be? I may go 12 feet wide i havent decided.

I would say no way for the 8 foot doors. i wouldnt even think about it. Down the road you will want taller doors trust me. ask an overhead door company the minimum clearence for tracks. Your 10 foot high building will have 6 more inches for top and bottom plates and i think you only need a foot for clearance. Ask the door companies what your choices are. actually here is the answer. Put one set of concrete blocks around the perimeter and build on top of that. I think they are 8 inches plus the 6 inches for the plates gives you 14 inches for track clearance. I think that will work and you get plan on materials for a 10 foot tall building and still get your 10 foot door. Plus better protection from water run in and that sort of thing around perimeter with a course of blocks. thats my answer:)
