Can anyone tell me the wheel base for the TN55. I have 74.8 for the TC55, but i am interested in the TN. anyone know if this is the same tractor as the TN65? I believe the wheel base for the TN65 is 81.5 in. Are all the TN tractors on the same frame? I am interisted in somthing that fits the barn better than the 84.5in NH3430 I have now. i believe the next step down in size from the NH3430 would be a TC or compact. is this correct? Looking for 1 size smaller ag tractor if possible. Any thoughts?
Thansk for the help.

TN 55 wheelbase:
2WD ROPS 83.5"
2WD cab 81.29"
4WD ROPS 81.29"
4WD cab 81.29"
4WD SuperSteer ROPS 93.50"
4WD SuperSteer cab 93.5"

I tend to think the 2WD ROPS at 83.5" is a misprint in the Op manual, as there is no reason for a ROPS chassis to be longer than a cabbed unit chassis.
None of this addresses overall length, which I would think important to a storage issue.
A 4WD TN55 has a lighter front axle than other TN's. Beyond that I don't think there are physical differences unless driven by differing tire sizes.

Thanks Rick.
So there is basically no difference between the TN's then. Good to hear that, although now I need to look for something shorter. I have the TN65 and love it. I don't want another one that big. I need something smaller and quicker, which the 3430 is, it is just a tad larger than I need. I miss my old 600 Ford. Don't want to go back to the 600, just something that size for mowers, wagons, lite work that sort of thing. Have been staying away from the boomers, as i like the weight of the utilities, and imo i think the utilities have a better, heaver frame. What would be between say the TC55, and the NH3430. anything?

I don't know the wheelbase dimensions, but the TT-A series of tractors fall between the TC55 and the TN series in power. They are very economically built and you actually straddle the running gear. There are two 2wd models, the TT45A and TT50A, plus two MFWD models, the TT60A and TT75A. I've looked at NH's website and dimensions are not called out in their spec sheet, but maybe RickB knows more details.

Jinman, Thanks, Does the TT fall between the two, or replace the TN series? NH site doesn't (or at least I did not see) the TN series now? Nice looking picts, but I need to lay my butt in the seat, know what I mean? From what I can tell the TT series is almost the same as the TN, but as others have said on this board, Not quite. To me the TT series still look the same SIZE as the TN that I have. Maybe since you straddle the hump, it would feel a litter smaller?? Although I do that now with the 3430. Straddle is a good thing as the 3430 will go places in the barn (under beams) that the TN can not. Would like to get into something in the 80ish inch wheel base i think. What were the old 640's ? weren't they around 74 inches? Or am i just old and forgetful?
As Rick said, it is the OVERALL length that maters, but seems to be a little easier to compare wheelbase than overall length. Also matters what implement might be on at the time also, but not for this request.
I am trying to narrow down my search some, but I dont have a good site for data. ( don't say TractorData, as they do not have very good stats for Wheelbase or Length of what I am considering). I know the answer will show up shortly.;)
I know I should just be thankful with the ones I have, and believe me I am, but isn't that what winter's are for? Tractor Shopping for the stuff Santa forgot?:D

The New Holland Site is not consistent with the technical specification pages. However, if you look at the T4000 models, you'll find your TN "hiding" in there. You'll also find detailed dimensions for the T4000 series. Too bad they did not do that for the TT-A series. The TT-A series is absolutely not the TN series. Look closely at all three T4000 groups and you'll see special features and dimensions of the different model groups for different farming applications. The TN series has been changed to the T4000 series and if you want to see a narrow tractor, look at the T4000F designed for vinyards.

Thanks jinman, I will take a look. NH chose to make it complicated since they took over in 2000. The model numbers have changed what? at least 3 times? maybe more. Hard to keep up.

T4000 tractors are exclusively 4 cylinder tractors. TN's numbered 75 and lower are 3 cylinders, 85 and up are 4. The model number change dance is crazy, I can't even keep up.
