Titan Attachments Experience

Maybe everyone at Titan flunked math. I have been a supporter of their price and general speed to ship. But the dimensioning has been a problem for years. I don't understand why, regardless of where it is made. They keep falling off the wagon when it comes to this.

My :2cents:, they shouldn't have to understand math, they should have jigs and fixtures that set everything in place before the weldor strikes the first arc. Seems to me they are more focused on the price than the basics like quality, fit, and finish. Some of those welds are look like they are done by high school apprentices.

I'm sure they're made with jigs, something probably got out of place, unfortunately.

The welds don't look that bad, you'll find similar fit/finish on many Made in USA implements. The penetration looks fine and there are a VERY minimal number of complaints (if any) here of their attachments breaking at the welds. My KK rear blade had some decent looking welds on the blade pivot, but no penetration... cracked right at the weld bead.

A simple error I'm sure they'll take care of you on, and the risk of buying some of the low-buck attachments... GREAT value and the Titan stuff looks well made, but the occasional problem can happen at a higher frequency than if you spent more. (Sometimes.)

Last month we just bought our second pair of forks from Titan. Quick, easy transaction and we recieved our forks 2 or 3 days later. The forks are on a NH LX885 skidsteer that continously moves logs. Forks hold up very well and we have had no problems with either set. Both sets are used hard each day. Heres some of what we move each day. First picture is some Oak logs from 34" - 42" in diameter and 10' long. (check the size of the logs compared to my truck sitting next to them). 2nd and 3rd pic's are normal everyday logs on both of our decks. Conclusion; would i buy again from Titan? ABSOLUTELY! . . . .John

I just ordered a set of 42" SSQA forks. I have a Kubota L4600 with the LA 784 FEL. I sure hope the fit and finish is good. I will report back as soon as I try them out. Should arrive around Thurs, Mar 72.

Then maybe their people setting up the jigs failed math. I have some of their attachments and the welds are fine. Maybe with their pricing they have grown too fast. The picture is of their 48" forks.

The Titan 42" pallet forks arrived today, Tuesday Mar.25. I ordered them late Friday. They were quite easy to put on, and this was the first time for taking off the FEL bucket and putting any attachment on. The fit seems xlnt. I scarva'd out a large boulder that was taxing the FEL. Was able to heft and move it. Then I relocated about 15 large timbers, each being 12-13' long and perhaps 18" dia average. I did research pallet forks and this seemed to be the best value I could find, despite having to pay the 10% Tn sales tax. I am satisfied.

For all we know these fit issues we keep hearing about is just one guy on the line that needs to be fired. It seems most of the stuff is fine, yet we still hear of these lingering fitment issues from a percentage of the product. They need to get their QC department up and running and figure out what goes wrong a small percentage of the time before their good name gets further smeared. This is not like 20 years ago, consumers talk to each other now thru this media and nothing goes unnoticed. 1 or 2 "oh shoots" can wipe out 100 "attaboys".

I'm not one who likes to complain, but the welds on my grapple look more like they were done by elementary kids. I'm not kidding. I mean...... they really don't look good at all. I certainly do not claim to be a great welder, but my welds look MUCH better than the welds on my grapple.

The Titan rep I spoke with told me they are essentially selling so much they cannot keep up with the orders. I suspect they are simply trying to keep up with demand, but I certainly hope they do not sacrafice quality in order to do so. It appears that they went waaaayy to fast when welding my grapple. I have not heard, on this forum, of their welds breaking. Therefore, I will keep my fingers crossed. If they should happen to break, at least I have a welder.

Can you post pictures of the welds?
