I've fill it 2 ways either wheel it on my small utility trailer with a ramp, drive a few miles to the station that sells off-road diesel (securing it with ratchet straps on trailer) or fill it at location with my collection of now mostly unused Jerry cans. Either way works for me. I also add biocide to it. Btw it's a 35 gal capacity similar to screen shot below but was originally red with a grounding wire had for a few yrs now no problems with itI have a question for you… I’ve been looking at these and larger because the 5 gallons cans are getting too difficult to handle as I get older…
Do you fill the caddy using a pick up truck mounted fuel tank with transfer pump or do you bring the caddy to the gas station? I’d imagine the 25 gallon caddy is hefty when full and would be difficult to get on and off my pick up. Knowing I would have to take off my pick up and place on ground at gas station to fill and then get the full caddy back up on my truck is problematic.
A neighbor or of mine has a 50 gallon and a 75 gallon tank that the local coop comes out and fills and thinking about going that way as well but the 25 gal fuel caddy has always intrigued me. Thanks
